Reckon it's one of those games that you'll know the winner in the first 5-10 minutes. Not going to be a close one IMO.

I'm almost hoping the Power win as my boss is a Power fan and I could be out of a job next week if the Cats get up against the odds!

Not sure on that mate, we can look a million bucks early and then release the parachute.
Geelong have found playing Port at Adelaide Oval no real threat as they have won 3 of the last 4 clashes here by an average of 32 points.
Port have only won 2 of the last 17 head to heads.

B: Burton, McKenzie, Houston
HB: Hartlett, Jonas, Byrne-Jones
C: Duursma, Wines, Amon

EMG: Ratugolea, Close, Z.Guthrie, Steven
The battle of the power Centre Half Forwards, I'd be a liar if I said that Blicavs standing Marshall doesn't scare the absolute bag out of me, I'm sure he'll got to big Charlie but Taylor on Marshall could go wither way, I'd prefer that Rohan and Marshall make an agreement and go stand in the corner out of everyone's way.
I didn't think Lienert deserved to be dropped and I'd rather see Ladhams start instead of Marshall.
Pretty even around the ground, it all comes down to who is ready for it, it will be a free for all sort of game without any tags, basically the best team on the night will win, who is the cleanest with the ball.

Very happy with these changes. Esava and Steven out for Akins and Stanley. We are a worse team with Stanley out and Esava in. Esava will get there but he's not consistently effective yet. His time will come. Very happy with Steven out also. Not fit enough this year, not fast enough and his disposal, particularly under pressure is suspect. That's the last thing this Geelong team needs tonight. I think we've redressed the two main issues we've had in the last couple of weeks at the selection table here. No silly buggers Chris Scott selection, just the best available side. I think it's the strongest we've had all year.
Watched the Power eventually shrug off Collingwood last week. Lots of high kicks into the forward line..yes, more of that please. Motlop kicked two goals and Rockliff got a ton of possession. Don't see that happening tonight. I don't think Hawkins will terrorise Port like he did last time but we have Rohan, Ablett and Dangerfield up forward as well where the Pies had Stephenson tripping over his own feet, DeGoey who would only chase the ball if it wrapped in a big mac wrapper and the useless American. With Stanley in and strangley, Ladhams out, I think we can hold our own in the middle and the Power don't have a Castagna or Papley type small forward to terrorise us.
We win this and if we don't, straight sets for us. The same could go for the Power. Such an important match. Confident, but toey.
regards,
REB

Ah. That makes sense. Got a bit of promise the big youngster. Agree that Leinert a bit stiff though but that's what you want at this time of year.

I'm as toey as a clumsy butcher. I reckon our players might have felt like you do now in the first quarter last week. They were asleep!

I just dont see this being a close match.
I believe we will win comfortably and if we don't win we lose by 6 goals +

Could be ugly by 7.10 pm tonight especially if I start waving my 119 guernsey around when INXS is being played.
