Agreed. The East decision was a disgrace
Schiller’s and Hoskin our best. Again. Grace works hard but needs support.

As i posted earlier i was clearly wrong when i said we were on the right track, clearly that is not the case we are average at best .Norwood the better team and were to good.Time to start at looking at some of the reserves to come in we are done for this season and may as well get games into them dont think we have enough players of league standard so give a go to some of the other lads and see what they can do

I think we need to keep the ball low at all times. Besides hoskin and fort we don't have anyone that can take a contested mark. Also, put anyone in ruck. We got smashed in the hit outs but won the clearances. Just have someone that can do something around the ground.

Even when the Dogs are battling, still always a good result to get a win at the Ponderosa. Match up of two developing sides today so nothing to get too excited about, key for both of us is to be well drilled and developed when the current contenders fall away.

Got to the ground about five minutes into the third. Missed the first half live due to timing with family commitments but saw the first quarter and a bit on the tube.Dogs64 wrote:Holiday for whoever bopped him in the jaw.Jim05 wrote:Holiday coming up for Hoskin
Commentator reckons Hosko was playing for it. Dunno, looked pretty good timing for a put-on.
Just at the end of the first, did the players seem to be pretty happy with Grace's kick at goal or was that just end of quarter interaction? Looked pretty good from my comfy chair and it sounded like the crowd thought it was a goal.
Seven were pretty quick to rip into their ad / promo block to gauge the players reactions for any length of time and nothing was mentioned after they came back. Just curious.

Re: R6 Centrals v Norwood Saturday 3.05 PM
I realise it was pitifully dark for a quarter of league footy but, I must say, in my decades of following this sport I can't remember ever seeing such a quick call on a player running into goal on a comparable length of real-estate.Pseudo wrote:Run too far? Agreed.Jim05 wrote:Worst decision of the year
The lads went into the last quarter like they had nothing to lose and that would have been the third goal on the trot, put them within three goals with the momentum and twenty minutes to play. Norwood did what any good side would have done, saw the heads drop in disbelief and made their opponents pay on the scoreboard.

Dogs 4 and a half goals down at 3 quarter.
Kick the first in the last and then the second... but the umpire calls East for running too far.
Momentum shaker.
Josh Hardy is the name... must not umpire league next week. (Though Harris also did us no favours all day)
Dogs win the clearances and win the inside 50s.
But efficiency was down and contested marks 3 to 17.

Still, never easy to drop a crowd favourite and former champ, even if it is for team discipline reasons, so kudos to your club for that.JK wrote:Got a lot going on in his life and not as young these days, not the same player as the Magarey/JO versionsouthernbulldog wrote:You must be going ok if Grigg can play reserves

I watched the incident on my dvd recorder when I got home. Counted 11 steps from the time he received the ball to when he went to kick the ball.Pseudo wrote:Run too far? Agreed.Jim05 wrote:Worst decision of the year

The rule isn't about steps though is it? (Not that Im arguing, looked a bad call to me too)nwdfanparade wrote:I watched the incident on my dvd recorder when I got home. Re: R6 Centrals v Norwood Saturday 3.05 PM
When are Central District Football Club going to do about their ground clock losing time? I (as a supporter not an official game time keeper) started my stop watch at the start of each quarter. By the end of each quarter the ground clock was 7 seconds slow. Its been that way for some seasons. 7 seconds may not be much but its a discrepancy that affects the players and spectators.
As per the penalty for the CD player running too far, I know the rule isn't about steps (or paces) but taking a rule of the thumb, as step or a pace being a metre, the number of steps or paces is an indication of how far a player has ran.JK wrote:The rule isn't about steps though is it? Ummm - maybe if you're walking, or if you're running, but you are about 5 years old.nwdfanparade wrote:but taking a rule of the thumb, as step or a pace being a metre
For a typical bloke running at a decent pace, stride length would be 1.5 - 2m. Sprinters are up at around 2.5m.

Why weren’t the lights turned on? Was dark half way through the third quarter at the ground.
If they can’t afford it, surely the SANFL covers the cost as they made it the TV game.

Wouldn't have mattered who paid the power bill, judging by the spaghetti of wiring hanging from one (that I noticed) of the towers, I'm guessing they were in no state to be switched on anyway.norwood8 wrote:Why weren’t the lights turned on? Was dark half way through the third quarter at the ground.

When are you starting your watch, at the siren or immediately after the ball hits the turf at the opening bounce? Just curious.nwdfanparade wrote:When are Central District Football Club going to do about their ground clock losing time?
