Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 1
Adelaide has bolstered its SANFL list by announcing the signing of four new players ahead of the 2026 season.
The new faces are former South Adelaide Best and Fairest winner Joseph Haines, Adelaide’s General Manager of Football Operations and Compliance, Tom Hurley described Haines as a player who would bring experience, leadership, and defensive footy smarts.
“Joey has played 137 SANFL league games for the Panthers, is a two-time SANFL State representative and a four-time Team of the Year representative,” Hurley said.
“Success has followed him more recently, having become a back-to-back Division 1 premiership player in the Adelaide Footy League.”

If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

He could still play league footy so was interesting he left South Adelaide to play at Districts

Unless I missed it in a previous post. Who is Golden Groves A Grade coach for 2026?
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.
Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Does Summo qualify as a zero pointer being an ex junior?
Would be tough fitting him otherwise

Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 1
PNU had already lost a lot heading into 2025.
Of the players heading to Birdwood, Ancell was a Birdwood junior,,one hasn't played for 2 seasons and the other 3 are over 30

Be interesting to see how Golden Grove go
Seemed to have lost a few (some that haven't been announced elsewhere)
New coach and no big signings that i know of
They have amazing depth and juniors so may have enough talent there to stay competitive

SHOCs have lost a heap. A few of their top enders (including Noble i have heard) with no notable replacements.

A huge loss Noble will be, even though some feel he slipped a bit last season.White Unicorn wrote:SHOCs have lost a heap. A few of their top enders (including Noble i have heard) with no notable replacements.
The promising Cooper Wilkins overseas for the year, too

Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 1
Any truth in the rumor that PNU wants to drop to M2 because of large exodus of players and PAOC to stay in M1?
