Looking at some teams named already would appear to be the case:

Grange - Chadd Sayers and Nick Benton
Woodville South - Daniel Drew
PAOC - Kelvin Smith and Will Bosisto
SPOC - Michael Cranmer and Harvey Brennan
Reynella - Josh Barrett
Old Scotch - Josh Doyle
Hope Valley - Patrick Page Jnr
Adelaide Rockets - Matt Weaver and Adam Somerfield

The next two games on Dec 14 and Jan 11 clash with SACA comp for most teams. Just want to qualify these players for finals no doubt.

Trent McKenzie from Kensington , playing for Old Scotch, apparently hit 41 off an over last night to get them over the line from nowhere

2 in the Div 1 comp and 1 in the Div 2 and 3 comps.

Clubs that have say 3 or 4 teams and use different guest players over the 3 rounds could theoretically use as many as a dozen or so over the round robin phase.

Chasing down reynellas 194 was a pretty amazing effort.
Did it with an over to spare.
Great hitting.

How has everyone seen the first part of the season

Woody South have adapted well into A1, can any one catch Hoff in the runs. Marion are stilling the hunt even after going through a patch that seen them lose around 27 wickets for 100 odd runs across two games.

For us Tyson Roling has just been impeccable with his line and length and G Carey just does G Carey things

A2 is very interesting with a very close top 6 sides. Port districts yet to really dominate considering all the talk from there coach this season.

A3 has an incredibly strong Golden Grove on top, watching vs pur B grade a few weeks back id suggest they have as good a bowling attack as some A1 sides, would be surprised if they don't win it all quite comfortably

Absolutely Hoff can be caught. With the way he plays he’s just as likely to throw his wicket away two or three times in a row.

A2 very even amongst the top Scotch, Fulham and Port Districts. On their day I think it’s between Old Scotch and Fulham. Scotch ahead with the bat and Fulham ahead with the ball so it will be a good battle.

Totally disagree with Hoff.. The way he's batting is a class above and his record would suggest he's clearly the best batsmen in the competition. Can see him pushing 1000 runs this season.

Clearly having a very good run no doubt.
I recon a lot of blokes would still take Hanson (despite not being in the top 10 run scorers so far this season).

I get you can only make runs against the teams you are playing, and there is every chance the sides he has put to the sword are in the bottom half because he smashed them, but equally, the following stat doesn't read overly well...

Hoffman against top 4 sides in 21/22: hasn't played any yet
Hoffman against middle 4 sides in 21/22: 62 runs at an average of 31.0
Hoffman against bottom 6 sides in 21/22: 421 runs at 105.25

(For clarity, I'm certainly not saying he's going to fail in the second half, but he's only got Trinity and Pooraka to go in the bottom half of sides, while the rest of the games post xmas are against the likes of Para Hills, Ingle Farm and Marion.)

Hoffman has 8 grade cricket/ premier league 100s (probably more than the rest of A1 combined) I dont think he's worried about the top 4 teams or middle teams of bottom teams of Adelaide turf.

My opinion Stays the same

A1 parahills. Batting depth to go with a bowling team that will bowl most teams out for 150-180. Which will be 100 short with there batters.

A2 port districts. Losing a couple games before Xmas is not ideal. Round 1 losing to woody rec who passed our total by 1 run before being all out with rosenthal not giving out twice hurt he goes on to make 66 first ball out and then on 42 caught behind that’s cricket some times it goes your way other times it’s bad luck.
Bowling hopevalley out for 133 then being 3-42 at stumps was not the end to the day we was after. Second week playing on a pitch that wasn’t prepared due to the curator being in Darwin left us batting on a difficult pitch. Wilkens is a jet bowls as good as most a1 bowlers and a very very solid bat.
So I’m saying that our bats have not fired yet our bowlers have been outstanding if our bats come good after Xmas I believe we will be around the mark.
A3 it appears golden grove will gain promotion and are the standout team.

When you consider those centuries you can see why he's having a great year. That said, his performances in A2 over the past 3 years have been modest. Matt Overall is a very solid and consistent bat, so if Hoff slips up in a few games he could easily sneak past him.

The bloke shouldn't of been playing mate. He did his acl and played without one for 2 seasons then finally got it done last year.

I have no doubt there will be players, umpires or scorers who will be unavailable this week because they have tested positive or are a close contact. Whether the numbers are significant enough to cancel games is a good question. What happens if someone trains tonight and tests positive Thursday? Don't all the others that attended training become close contacts? I haven't seen any official statements from ATCA, but I think they should issue something.

i saw they have added to the bylaws about it, just make all games from here on one dayers, play the t20 finals on saturdays and finish early. at least that way you wont need to worry about covid ruining games half way through
