Danger for CU is playing trials based around players that may not be there for their final structure or players from direct opposition clubs that now know coaching strategies etc...

5 straight

kicked 5.1 which was good... 4 more goals than i kicked all of last season but you take em whilst they are there!!

Were you the short tubby bloke for IF in the pocket? If so had very good hands and if got 5.1 pretty accurate in front of goals.

If a player suits up for 2 trial games with a club, team sheets submitted to saafl umpires, said club can claim them as current player regardless of where they have been training.

then theres the paper called a clearence....by all means he can play at CU but then they will lose their points once the league finds out he hasnt been cleared by two wells.

It's an unlikely scenario that Ox would end up playing Division 7 but CU will do anything in the there power to keep him there. As for game plans, seriously, it's div 7. There is rarely a game plan

I know last year i was involved in a trial against CU and they had few blokes that were very handy ... And then never ended up playing for them. May have had ties with Salisbury Nth?? So cant really see the point in playing blokes in key positions that arent gonna be there during the year unless of course if its cause of shortage of numbers. You'd rather try and get structures right for round one with the guys that are going to be available

I agree, it seems pointless not to mention creates a false atmosphere and enviroment around the club. Also what does a club expect to get out of a trial game if they play blokes who arent committed to the club?

Maybe they are trying to sign them so playing 1 trial to have a look is all right but it would be pointless playing blokes if they are all ready signed at another club.

I know this may not be right in every case but there are players at most clubs that fit the mould of saying one thing and doing another. And if i was in charge of a club with multiple players not committed by time trials are coming id politley tell them to go else where. Obviously there might be certain circumstances preventing players from full commitment like work or whatever but id rather play blokes that 100 % want to be there and are doing the hard work. Not just coming and going when they feel like it.

If a player came out in the last week and trained like one of the players will have been talking about and wanted to have a look in the trial before he signed you would play them. He didn't want at sign after 1 trial then yes i agree tell them they will not play another game until they sign.
