Had some good news with Silver Mint in the first 2yo trial on Monday at Morphettville, so will find out a bit more about her. Then some bad news that her full sister (1yo) broke her leg in the paddock during the week and was put down

what are peoples thoughts on both the main race being the last race??

also the fact The Valley are racing Friday night and Saturday???

I personally think its a bit of an overkill situation

I don't have a problem with the last race being the big race, but at 5.40 local time? They need to bring that forward. People who want to go out afterward need to get away earlier than 6pm.

As far as Fri and Sat night, MV pulled up well according to people who were there. So I can't see a problem with it. Caulfield and Flemington mightn't handle it so well apparently.

Silver Mint had her first trial today and went really well, video above. Wasn't asked the big question during the run. Going to now go for a spell due to lack of 2yo races and come back in the new year to hit them. Amy Herrman rode her and was really pleased as was Kenny who is sure she will win some races with some more weight and strength, she is tiny!
