Bloke I used to play footy with battling a brain tumour didn't wake up and get out of bed this morning.

There are plenty of shit blokes in this world but he wasn't one of them....

I'm really feeling it at the moment for the folk of Mallala and surrounding towns, I have family living in Mallala and my grandparents live on the outskirts of the town and judging by the photo's I've seen on the internet I don't think there house is going to be there tomorrow.
I have been able to ring around and have been informed that they fled in time and are safe somewhere in Gawler.

Pretty bad from all reports I am getting. Just look at the rain radar on BOM to see how big the smoke is. Just hope everyone gets out safely.
A couple of hay sheds have reportedly been burnt, but the houses near them have been saved. So far.....

Pinery bushfire moving fast - may affect other roads in the area, including the Sturt Highway, Horrocks Highway and Thiele Highway.

Apparently the Wasleys piggery is no longer there.

The fire is 1km from the Roseworthy Petrol Station, the owner has has turned everything off and is out fo there, the winds have switched and are now pushing it towards Freeling.

Harrowing stuff mother nature. I hope and pray for everyone in the vicinity.

Believe me it would do it in quick time as well......2005 Wangary fires it travelled 30 km in less time than driving a car the same distance!

Live in Munno Para West and can assist with anything from a room to stay in all way through to clothes for adults and kids, spare food, blankets, etc etc.

Went through this last year with a girlfriend who lives in Cudlee Creek and its not a pleasant experience for anyone!!!!!!

SA Power Networks have switched off the Power to 18,000 peoperties in the area it is heading. This will make it even more uncomfortable.
