Re: Kowree Naracoorte Football League
Lucindale may be in trouble next year. Price gone, I heard on the radio Walsh to SANFL, Ryan McInerney supposedly heading to the SANFL too. Heard today that Kyle Press has moved to Darwin.
In other news who were the club best and fairests?
Borders had theirs saturday night. Clinton Robinson blew the competition out of the water in the first half of the year and cruised home, 2011 best and fairest Nick Tarca 2nd.
Lucindale: Walsh?
Padthaway: Featherston
Kyby: Ray Jaensch
Naracoorte: will find out tomorrow
Penola: Jackman or Hogget Merrett?

Re: Kowree Naracoorte Football League
The Glenelg Football Club wishes to advise the signing of three key recruits for the 2013 season.
Former Port Magpie, Box Hill and Hawthorn Rookie listed player 23 year old Tim Walsh has been recruited as a Talented Key Forward / Ruckman.
At 198 cm and 97 kg Tim strengths will be his overhead marking and ability to share the ruck responsibilities.
Also joining the Club in 2013 is former 23 game Port Magpie Player Ryan McInerney.
23 year old McInerney has been identified as a wingman / midfielder who will undoubtedly add speed and ball winning ability to the current group of midfielders.
And the third recruit is 22 year old Shaun Tapp who has just finished his season with the NT Thunder in the North East Australian Football League.
Tapp at 196cm and 95kg will take on the role as a key defender to assist strengthening the club’s defence for the coming season.
All three players will add extra leadership, values and work ethic to the current playing group and are welcome additions to the Glenelg Football Club in 2013.
Lucindale also to lose walker who is most likely travelling overseas next season.

We'll see how we line up in 2013. At this stage I might not even get a kick.
Onto more worrying issues - spare a thought for the young Lucindale footballer involved in that car rollover last night.

As long as he's willing to put the taps down the throat of the toughest country footballer in the state. That being Nick Tarca.
Can this ruckman work a tractor? Plenty of work at Borders for someone who can plough a padddock.

Don't know if they'd need to work with some of the money I'm hearing is being offered for a game of footy

If everything people hear is true then the club supposedly throwing the money around would've folded a month ago. Not calling you out on anything, but remember that footy goss can turn into a big game of chinese whispers.

Does your local paper write unbiased reports on footy matches? Ours in the SGL is shockingly one sided!

Wasn't aware first hand was Chinese whispers but anyway, and I'm aware it would take those types of offers to get players from Adelaide etc, as a lot of teams In this league are geographically disadvantaged, which makes recruiting even harder than it all ready is. Good luck with it all. will be good to see some of the lesser teams back up the ladder, must say had a good laugh when I heard that bordertown knocked off kaniva in the gf.

I'd say we're in a prime location halfway in the middle of nowhere
It would be naive to say we're not tossing a bit of money around looking to recruit, but I've been hearing some fairly big figures.
Have to watch out, for every good player there's a few Paul Smith's, Kieran Flanigans and Sam Nott's.

As with most country papers, the footy reports are contributed.
In the KNTFL during the home and away season the home team submits the report for the Naracoorte Herald and Border Chronicle. The Coastal Leader's footy writer does the Kingston report every week.
The sports journo at the paper writes the round preview and the finals match reports.

Plenty of bank branches in Naracoorte. Frances just a short drive up the road for trainings and home games.
