We're going to hear a bit more from the Fitzroy v Central United game me thinks. CU female supporter punched the central umpire in the face in an almost all in just on half time (missed it myself in the hulabaloo but widely witnessed so I hear). Yeah it's on tape & two players from both teams reported.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

Central United are the new Salisbury West. Ferals. I would like to see the same situation at their ground. The Ferals would be having a great old time. The brawl started when a Central United player hit a fitzroy player in the head from behind. Cheap shots. Thats all they've got. Then it just escalated. I saw a Central United female supporter slapping the umpire in the back repeatedly. Dont know what was going on there. We have it all on tape so we have the best defence. Imagine this people Salisbury West V Central United.

you won't even need that video evidence Sheik because at SAAFL house what ever the umps say is the truth no matter what you tell them. Its a money making exercise no wonder that they posted a 100K + profit last season.

Take my club for example $300 fine , reprimand and 1 game suspension (to separate individuals) later all for trying to restrain the umpire who was in the face of one of our players. mean while the other umpire who would have been younger than 21 is trembling in is boots gets demoted down a div and the offending ump gets promoted :?

Haha just do what we did to the m 2 years ago when we beat them in a knock out 1st semi at centrals. When we beat them we sung the club song right in front of the clubrooms just to stir them. They are a good bunch of blokes out there, just gotta know how to have a bit of fun with them. Theres always 1 bad apple at each club. Though they seem to have a few just a couple more.

Central United are disgraceful- the A's & B's did not stay back & support the C's (which was the last game). I'm told that they (C's) can't even train the same night as the A's & B's.
Worst of all, no support staff stayed back for the C's, so they had no trainer- disgraceful.
A CU player was cleaned up (fairly) by a Fitzroy player, & reacted by hitting him (allegedly- the fitzroy player), & he returned serve (allegedly), both were sent off- the farcical situation was, the CU player came & sought medical attention from our trainer & was seated next to the Fitzroy player that was sent off!

Saw the DVD of the incident last night- a late bump by a Fitroy player to a Central United player as he fell made the incident look worse than what it was.
#6 for CU (playing the hero) comes in & throws one at the #1 for Fitz- he defends himself (quite rightly).
Then a lot of push & shove starts happening- the Umpire is right there throughout all of this & does nothing.
Then #2 for CU shows how brave he is; hovers over a player on the ground, throws 2 quick punches & then runs- GUTLESS & WEAK. However, a Fitzroy player shows him the correct way to hit someone- while they're standing upright & can defend themselves....
And the conduct by the female CU supporter was lacking in any sort of courage- hitting an umpire over the head from behind.
Maybe you should stay at home & just stick to your domestic duties, hey?

I challenge anyone from CU to come on here & defend your actions- you won't as they were atrocious.

The most important thing is "who won the game"?

Nobody was killed, the players will front the tribunal, be fined or suspended. Time to build a bridge.

Play on, next weeks another game.

So it's ok for spectators to attack umpires?

Don't worry PD, we'll cop it on the chin- just hope your players can take it, not just dish it...

haha good to see theres no love lost between the local enemies. Assaulting an umpire is a joke though. Should have points taken off them in my books for not controlling their supporters. Perhaps they could give those points to our A grade, haha.

Shit ferals like CU should stay in the lower grades like D8. There's no need for it. All it does is bring down the area and keep the stereotype of the North true. Bad form!

In CU's defence, their President is not happy with the actions of a few- he's been quoted as saying that they discouraged the feral element last year, but some new ones have moved in, & he hopes to move them on.
CU have made/will make available the name of the female spectator, who had no business-
1) going on the field
2) assaulting an umpire

PD, it's a shame you could not adopt the attitude of your President, & admit that that is no way to behave- on or off the footy field.

All the best to CU if they carry through with what they say, & clean up the club.

I heard from a CU players mum who i work with that they think they might lose all their premiership points up until this round! Fingers Crossed! :D

Also expect a writeup in the local messenger next week, elaborating on the feral culture at CU

Actually the important thing is the conduct of your club on and off the field. You may have won the game, but look at what you have lost.

Also with the umpire incident, I would love to hear you defend that. As there is a shortage of umpires as it is.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards
