I get abused by my mates all the time, last night on the 5th at the vines, 60m out but bunker between me and the pin, Id have a 20% chance of lobbing a wedge on the green, bring out the putter, putt it up the hill to the left of the bunker, gravity then takes over and ball rolls 5 foot from the pin for a par putt. When your short game is so bad you have to play the %'s!

I am trying to overcome the chipping/pitching yips though, Im in the early stages of trying a one hand drill and I actually hit the ball much better than using 2 hands on the club so Im hoping this leads me to improvement.
I suck with my pitching wedge and can get on the green most times from within 100 with a putter. People shake their head but it works for me. It's what you're used to I guess. Each to their own.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

it's like wicket keepers in shorts sleeves and floppys and thigh pads worn outside of creams.

Putters used more than five metres off the green should be outlawed!!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Hybrids and 3 woods work just as good if you can't take a putter [emoji6]

Just completed our punters club golf trip.

Victor Friday
Sth Lakes Saturday
McCracken Sunday

Weather was actually really good for us, especially Saturday, although very windy at McCracken on Sunday. I won our punters club golf trophy having 37 points at Sth Lakes on Saturday, i actually played very well so was happy with that.

Massive day in the Goolwa pub Saturday afternoon, cracking little pub spent the day in front of the TAB screen collectively as a group had 3 'Big bets' with the all winning, nothing better than 12 of you all pissed cheering one home and it actually comes from midfield and gets the leader right on the line. Loved it

Very crook and sore today, but well worth it.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Flaggy yesterday
Started on 10
Had a handy 17pts to start the front 9
As has been the case, hit the wall on back 9
2 holes I hit 2 balls on the green.... and off the club they felt like they were going to end up in a reasonable position
Hit a decent drive on the 4th only to shank 2nd shot for a scrub
Par 3 - 7th, hit my 5w to make sure I cleared water.... ended up closer to 8th tee block... scrub
8th, get to greenside bunker in 3.... but it was in a unplayable spot... scrub
Finished with 25pts

So I have searched youtube for some chipping tips and saw one drill that uses the bottom hand only, tried it around the chipping green at the vines and I hit 80% of them really well, added my top hand and back to normal transmission  anyway on the course ive had a couple of times I have had to chip so have used the one hand method and its actually working!!! just need to work out why my top hand stuffs the whole strike of the ball up, thats the hard bit...

Reminds me of a Wednesday twilight round where 2 husband/wife pairings were awfully slow.....couldn't see in the dark for the last hole and the husband's decide to wait for us at the green to have a crack at us for allegedly hitting up on them!

Tonight's round, scrambled a bogey on the 1st then put my drive in the water on the 2nd and walked off with a triple bogey, from there I managed to play my best golf for over a year and put in a 42 off the stick and 21 points.

Challenge is to now repeat the effort!

Anyone use the Hole 19 app? Ive been using it for yardages and upgraded to the Premium on the weekend as they had 50% off, haven't had a chance to look too deep into the premium features.

I had it, but it drained my phone.

Just picked up a shot scope hv4.
Which is similar to the arcoss with tags in top of the club etc.
But can be just used for yardages/hazards.

I use the arcoss app, I bought a demo cobra hybrid a while ago and they sent me the sensors for the rest of the clubs. I dont use the app that often when I'm playing but it has given me a good guide on how far I hit each club. Occassionally, I'll pull the phone out to see the meterage left.
