That was some clever coaching!

He's not actually coaching but you could say that he has been helping out on the sidelines for David Murphy while he (Mitchell) is out injured. Haven't seen enough as yet to comment on the other matters but I can't be critical at this stage and he has brought two pretty handy players to the club with him.quote]

Quick Tip Lads. This is on very good authority. Last footballer the Kersbrook Football Club paid, just as a player was Peter Sleep (That's right Sounda) who was a dud in 1986. The Club of course will pay it's Coach but not it's players. If ya did your research you'd know that the James boys are Local lads that have returned to the Club. Reckon Brett would give his brother a couple of beers a game as they wouldn't goto waste with Roger.

Reckon the Maccy boy$ are on a lot better coin that us, but I for one would love a little wager on the match.

Cougar, is Paul James on any coin? I heard at the start of the year he was offered some coin from a couple of clubs to play for them. I understand he went to play for his brothers but did Kersbrook sweeten the deal at all?

Do Kersbrook pay money to the best players or each player for a win?

So lads, tips for this week. Its a little early i know but im bored. Humour me.

Blackwood vs Lofty --> after last weeks thumping i seriously think they can back it up, and with ladies night after the game im guessing the boys will want to work SERIOUSLY hard to pump the guns up for the gun show.

Hahndorf vs Mt Barker --> it hurts to say it, but i think Mt Ronnie will get over the line.

Uraidla vs Onka Valley --> game of the round for sure, i think Onkas will come out firing after their beating by Ironbank, but ill give home ground advantage to the cabbages.

Lobethal vs Birdwood --> Umm who cares?!? Just joking, maybe Birdwood can win their first game of the year?!?? But i think ill tip Loby in a shocker of a game.

Ironbank vs Bridgewater --> depending on who wins the punch up in the car park. Nah, i think Ironbank will KILL them. What an amazing start to the year for Ironbank lets hope they can continue it!

Paul James was offered some BIG coin to play for other clubs. Brett might be looking after him, but I know the Club didn't pay big $$$ for Brett. Paul was always really keen to come back to play with his junior team mates, so yes he could be $acrificing a big pay cheque as he is a gun.

Best Players get vouchers and reckon our BOG get's $50-100. Nothin xtra for win. If we paid $$ for players we'd be going alright in Central Div!

Your A grade might go alright, but what about the rest of the club???? Kersbook have some big work ahead of them to fix up their club - no colts mean no future. For the James' Boys sake, I hope the club doesn't put all the weight on their shoulders and just hope the juniors will fix itself with some success in the A grade.

Unfortunately you're right. The Club has a lot of work ahead of itself to restablish a junior program. Kersbrook ain't a big Town, but we do however have a strong nucleus of Under 12s coming thru the ranks that will enable at least a Junior Colts side next year. Don't worry, our Club more than any other HFL club, knows how precious juniors are to a Club's survival. We aren't $penders and we'd have more Players in Senior sides that have come thru our Junior Program than any other HFL Club.
