Re: Grade Cricket
Woodville's Josh Hoffman will be heading back to Port Adelaide next season. He had a couple disciplinary issues last season and there must be a fair bit of friction still there between him, the club and coach Sam McNally. Pretty surprised Port have taken him back though, talented player but pretty shocking between the ears, particularly off field.

Did someone say he'd hurt his knee playing football?

yep back in April......

I've been hearing Blewett, that might just be because he's in town though.

Could they package up a Redbacks/Strikers role for him?

Looks like some clubs may need to familiarise themselves with the rules regarding recruiting under 18's

Re: Grade Cricket
Would any club really try and stop (refuse to clear) an under 18 from leaving? Knowing that they can do little to stop it occurring anyway, if the kid is financial.

Re: Grade Cricket
Trying to poach 16 or 17 year olds is a bit off I reckon. It's one thing if they approach another club but being targeted out of the blue? Some kids can get turned by 'the thrill of the chase.' Having someone pump up their tyres, wax lyrical about how good they are, promises of playing in whatever grade. Good for the ego. Perhaps not great for them as a cricketer or as a person though.

Is this referring back to Woodville trying to poach young Josh Hoffman from Bays?
