If it was his bag of coke and hundred dollar bill, would that mean a strike?
Yeah, there are at least 5 teams that will be fairly uncompetitive this year and the new rules will see some bigger scores kicked. Can definitely see a few 100 point margins coming upgadj1976 wrote:I think the season will be pretty boring in parts. Unfortunately games like we've seen Thursday and Friday nights will be the norm, with maybe one or two exceptions through the season. Tough to watch.
Not a good time to be bottomed out. Player movement has been encouraged by the AFL but its been poorly governed.gadj1976 wrote:I think the season will be pretty boring in parts. There is a huge gulf between the good teams and the also rans, meaning lop sided games all season.

Wait until Tassie get 75 picks on the draft!Booney wrote:Not a good time to be bottomed out. I remember mentioning this (I think on this forum) that free agency was never going to work. And it's now 'stark' as to how bad it's become. For teams like Brisbane to be able to top up after winning a premiership is ridiculous.Booney wrote:Not a good time to be bottomed out. Brisbane win the flag, lose hardly anyone and still get multiple FA’s and top 10 picks from their academy.gadj1976 wrote:I remember mentioning this (I think on this forum) that free agency was never going to work. Yeh! And they're trying to stop us getting Cody Walker! Did you see Dillon's smug smirk on Front Bar during the week when the Suns won?Jim05 wrote:Brisbane win the flag, lose hardly anyone and still get multiple FA’s and top 10 picks from their academy.gadj1976 wrote:I remember mentioning this (I think on this forum) that free agency was never going to work. I’m sure the bidding system will be overhauled when it’s time for our academy kids to come through
The AFL and poor governance? I, for one, am shocked!!!Booney wrote:Not a good time to be bottomed out. I think the AFL aren’t even trying to hide the fact that they are at war with the NRL and it seems like they are hell bent on ensuring the 2 Queensland clubs have every available leg up possible even to the detriment of other states.wenchbarwer wrote:The AFL and poor governance? I'll be honest, the NRL is a far better product these days, in both the men's and women's games.Jim05 wrote:I think the AFL aren’t even trying to hide the fact that they are at war with the NRL and it seems like they are hell bent on ensuring the 2 Queensland clubs have every available leg up possible even to the detriment of other states.wenchbarwer wrote:The AFL and poor governance? The AFL won’t be happy until it’s a Brisbane v Suns GF
Stupid thing is that both have co-existed and continue to do so.wenchbarwer wrote:I'll be honest, the NRL is a far better product these days, in both the men's and women's games.Jim05 wrote:I think the AFL aren’t even trying to hide the fact that they are at war with the NRL and it seems like they are hell bent on ensuring the 2 Queensland clubs have every available leg up possible even to the detriment of other states.wenchbarwer wrote:The AFL and poor governance? For everything good they AFL do (new ruck rules), they absolutely torch the game with stupid ones (their last touch bastardisation and the stand rule).
Speaking of tickets I just saw that the cheapest GA tickets for Port v Essendon is $50DOC wrote:The ticketing furore in Melbourne.

You gotta pay $50 or you recieve $50 for attending?Jim05 wrote:Speaking of tickets I just saw that the cheapest GA tickets for Port v Essendon is $50DOC wrote:The ticketing furore in Melbourne.

We were "advised" by the club to secure seats (at an extra cost) for the Friday night game Vs Essendon. For Hawthorn members, it was a replacement game, for which our membership allows us access, albeit in the "cheap seats".DOC wrote:The ticketing furore in Melbourne.
