The Sorce wrote:We out to demons land to see them comfortably beat Macclesfield. Would read too much into the big score though. Macclesfield had some guys playing two games and in the first quarter looked like they were going to upset Echunga (Maccy having 6 - 7 quality players but lacking fitness). Echunga Ran all over macclesfield in the 2nd quarter looked as though they got all the cobwebs out of the system in the first quarter and then turned up to play, looked strong all over the ground against an undermaned and unfit maccy. The forward line problem looks to be fixed with Echunga with Jason Thornhill and Joey Whyatt providing a strong target up there for oposition. Will be a very interesting match against Nairne in 2 weeks time. Who does Nairne Have this week.
Nairne have Kangarilla this week! Nairne have been talked up a bit in the pre season will be interesting to see how they go
Reigning Mail Medalist Brad Pearce picked up his first 3 votes of the season with a BOG display against Gumeracha. Pearce looks like he's beefed up to at least 75 kilos, but still managed being everywhere slotting through a Lazy 10. Roger James made a rare appearance for the Brookers with the Roosters having the Bye, and the New Recruits in Ruck and CHB will be worthy additions. Gumeracha stalwarts Nathan Bull and Sean Kavanagh battled hard for the Magpies, but with a new playing group might take a while to gel. They look to have improved Gums, but still could be in for a long year, while Kersbrook will be thereabouts again.
Country Div Results Round 1 seemed to have gone to script, with Kangarilla smashing a wedding depleted TV, Meadows surprisingly just over Callington, Echunga belting Maccy and Kersy with regulation win over Gums. Would have been interesting to see how Maccys players would have treated their ex Joey Whyatt on Saturday and didn't Callington worry Meadows early last season before the wheels fell off??
There was only a little but of pushing and shoving nothing out of the usual. Nairne Vs Kangy would have to be the match of the round coming up wouldn't it. Nairne has been talking themselves up a fair bit over the pre-season now is the time for no more excuses and come out and knock off a grand finalist from last year...... or has it just been all talk again from Nairne.
Kangys vs Nairne should be a good game... even with our injuries sustained in the trial against Mypo. Like i said we may be slow early until we get our injured players back. Luke Percy out for about 6 weeks is the worst of the injuries with about 7 other niggly ones... Cant wait for this weekends game

Sodomka playd a's obviously and is clearly a fit man.
spot on dd cally skills first class just lack a couple of good big guy's to compliment the rest of the whippets, won't make the five but beware those that expect an easy one. Meadows with at least three to come in Maidment,Minne,r Reid all first picks
What happened to the Big Guys Cally had last year in Hodge and Hirst?

The Sorce wrote:Anyone Have any tips for this weeks upcoming games... I have lost my schedule and do not know who is playing who.....
Only game I do know is Nairne Vs Kangy My Pick there is Kangy by about 10 Goals.
Gumeracha vs Torrens Valley Callington vs Kersbrook Macclesfield vs Meadows Kangarilla vs Nairne
Not overly hard to pick this one you would think. TV easily over Gums, Cally may give the Brookers a run, Meadows will smash Maccy and Kangys will be to far to good for Nairne
The one real positive for Gums is that out of their 4 teams to play on the weekend, three of them won. A 24 goal loss in the A grade is not great but last time they played each other the margin was 40 goals. The league did Gums no favours by giving them the top three teams from last year first up. They will be big impovers this year, not saying they will make the finals but they will be more competative.
