December 2025 the Libs think Hurn is more likely to win seats off Labor at the next election than Tarzia was.

April 2026 Hurn is the leader of the opposition that just got beaten up in an election.

You think the Liberal power brokers back in someone who just lost an election for 4 years until the next election?

It's weird isn't it. If I were her I'd have strongly considered not putting my hand up.

Well, considering it was her supporters who cowardly destabilised Tarzia, it would have been odd for her to not take the role.

Sad, sad for South Australia, but the electorate want a Labor government with a massive majority and a pulverised opposition it seems.

A few years back he turned up at a country cabinet in moleskins & RMs
They were on the morning news walking in.
I put a post up on Twitter: “Not sure if you’re the Rhinestone or Midnight Cowboy” & posted both songs
He threatened to sue me for defamation which set off a very funny interaction because I know what defamation is.

In Paul Starick's article yesterday about the secret letter going around Liberal circles denouncing Tarzia he used the term "an orchestrated campaign to depose him by senior Liberal agitators", I can guarantee you 100% I would have zero in common with those people and until they understand that they are doomed.

I know the Finnis office is wary of the fine margins faced there and the difference could well be a more palatable, relatable leader.

I think Malinauskas has got the Writers Week fiasco wrong and in doing so has given the Libs something to work with, not often he makes a mistake and I think most of us are surprised by it. I'll be equally surprised if the Libs actually make it work for them, they don't get things right very often so this is a test for their spin machine to come up with something and make ground.

It won't cost him the election but it might swing a seat or two ( Adelaide in particular ).

The Greens are more likely to be the beneficiary of dissatisfaction in the government in the seat of Adelaide than the Liberals.

Noone will remember Writers Week in march.
