Re: INS & OUTS 2026
On current evidence, that’s a moot question

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
Again, wish West all the best but hiring a good coach isn’t going to turn around the club, but at least it’s a start.
As has been discussed extensively here, there are a host of issues at West that need addressing for the club to be sustainable and succeed.

Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Having sat in a Monday morning review session after a Norwood game, I could see just how intense and intelligent the gr8 man is
Im predicting his stint at WAFC will be a turning point in the club
Im very confident he will improve the team and the club

I wouldn’t put it past North to either win the flag or finish last.

Lachie Murphy, 26 years young, by-passing the SANFL to play for Port Noarlunga, yet another one.

You can be the best coach in the competition however you still need decent cattle on your list to be successful

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
Small steps. No one is saying Bass will win a flag next year or even in 3 years but hopefully for West he can make them more competitive and win a few more games next year and then keep improving year by year and maybe even lay a solid foundation. I don’t think anyone thinks it’s an easy task but need to start somewherelocky801 wrote:You can be the best coach in the competition however you still need decent cattle on your list to be successful

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
Good luck to them for getting picked, huge futures ahead for them!
But, gee it makes things even tougher to win a flag
and that's the real reason why we are in it, to win premierships.
So what clubs have to do now is massage those relationships with the players that leave, so one day they hopefully will return to the club they left.
For example, hopefully next year Monty, Lange, Durdin, Dudley, Fawcett etc etc will return to Central,
in the meantime try to recruit from country clubs & hope you get lucky.

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
7 SA lads getting picked in the first round is amazing. We may not see that again.

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
Didnt Ports CEO have a crack at our drafting 12 months ago as he tried to position/pressure sanfl into new recruiting rules for his sanfl club.
Clueless!!
