Defining fact v fiction these days is getting harder and harder though.
The media publish that much crap you don’t know what to believe.

Granted, as Corona Man noted earlier the majority of us ( I would expect ) don't watch Studio 10 and The Project to get informed, we source it from numerous agencies and make up our own minds after consuming the information.

Those agencies, sources, are rarely from social media platforms and forums driven by people with like minded views to mine. Ie - anti-vaxxers source their anti-vaxx propaganda from other anti-vaxxers, not from clinical physicians.

I was speaking for myself there, not commenting on where others source their info from, you are most likely correct though Boon. I try to take in a range of views, from what I consider reliable sources. Apache mentioned youtube, not one I'd go for, but that's just me.

It's been an interesting convo on here today, with LM & Amber making valid points too.

Some border restrictions changing for border communities, tightening up on those cross border travellers

COVID Safe Marshall's will be in place around the state, some larger gatherings will require a dedicated COVID Marshall ( I'd suggest large pubs or shopping centres ).

Marshalls at :

Licenced premises, gyms, major shopping centres, hardware stores, food halls, cafe's etc.

The Marshall has no power to fine or the like, it's an advisory role to remind patrons to maintain social distancing etc.

Ie - your local will have to have one of the bar staff making sure people are social distancing.

Anything that starts with "an unknown source" or a media spokesperson has said, I skip.
When an expert or the person directly responsible goes to camera then I'm listening.
I certainly don't take much stock from a crackpot youtuber looking for their 15 minutes.

So for a virus we’re going to treat it with an anti parasitic and an antibiotic?

Yes I see the how the antibiotic can treat the secondary infection to alleviate the infection but it still doesn’t treat the viral source. Personally I’d rather isolate and practise good standard precautions so I don’t get it rather than take a triple therapy that won’t cure the virus.

As the good professor will no doubt verify you can’t cure virus it why the flu still exists today, all you do is kick the can down the road as the little bastards keep mutating. This is a form of SARS from the late 00s and they also believe that there are three types of it circulating based on the variation in the symptoms being recorded.

Given his expertise is also in the gut he is doing great thing in a condition I have which there is no current cure Ulcerative Colitis but can be managed.

Also when reading your link they state that this triple therapy “could” or “may” treat this condition no mention of “will” or inferences of clinical effectiveness.

Oh and I bet London to a brick he will also advocate standard and transmission based precautions (PPE, hand hygiene, isolation, non contact, social distancing) to manage outbreaks (which is what our governments are advocating) along with gastric intestinal disease which his his area of expertise.

Finally don’t You or Daisy assume others aren’t doing research or verify information from other sources just because we don’t agree or acquiesce to your rant.

Heres a hypothetical question.

Say you are a 80 year old male with one or two illnesses thus you are in the high risk category somehow you contract this flu.

Do you

A Just lie down and die because their are no approved therapies

or

B You go down fighting and try to save yourself by using any form of therapy consisiting of a combination of already existing approved drugs that
have been around for years to treat other illnesses . The reason being you have done some research and read that a some Medicos are having
success in saving lives.

HR: COVID-19 is really two different diseases. In the first few days, it is like a very bad cold. In some people, it then morphs into pneumonia which can be life-threatening. What I found is that treatments for the cold don’t work well for the pneumonia, and vice versa
