I was on about this ^ when all alcohol was banned in pubs and restaurants
So much for the investment in RSA. When push comes to shove, SA Health and the State Administrator say the RSA is not worth a burnt pie.
A friend sent me an mp4 of a US young woman asserting that there was no problem in the US except in the south where "all those Mexicans are constantly drinking Corona beer!"
Unfortunately the file is too big to post. I'm not sure whether she was serious or it was a send up, but if she wasn't serious it was good acting!

100% we are the same in gyms, our gym staff have been fulfilling that role.
Not sure what changes with the new rule. Maybe the 24/7 private gyms are affected.

If you don't like what your reading, skim past, for all we know Apache could be 2 twelve year old girls winding up a bunch of middle aged blokes.
I think there's a little more to worry about in our lives than what happens on here.
Totally agree, LM. I like to read this topic as find out good info, but just don't read what those couple of posters write at all anymore, so this works a treat. Scroll past as soon as see their name, easy fixed!
Why do people only read stuff that they like or agree with?
How do you educate or better yourself with that theory?
I enjoy reading some of the stuff on here I don’t agree with.
Apache has brought a different dimension to this thread.
Boring as bat shit if every one shares the same opinion.
That’s why this place is worse off without HH3, Morrell, Carey, BennyMacca etc.
They had different views which I enjoyed.
Each to their own though.
Geez mate if I only read stuff I agreed I'd be dumb as a squid!
Its all well and good to have differing opinions but saying things like
" the government are holding back treatment " and the like is just plain nonsense and needs to be called out as such.
Again, people who want to have a different view, solely, to get a reaction (trolls) have to accept getting hammered!
The Victorian Gov banned the use of HCQ back in March or April. It has other uses besides the possibility of helping with Covid, treatment of Malaria being one. Coincidentally how are the covid numbers in those countries with Malaria despite them being 3rd world countries and one would think a disease haven for the likes of Covid
There are many medical doctors saying it may help. These reports are in general removed from social media as quick as they can be put up.

WAs thinking more African countries
Yep ok, let’s see how that correlates. Interesting when this all started the word was Corona would not be an issue in warmer climates.... it’s summer right now in the Northern Hemisphere and it’s gone bonkers in the USA so that stuffs that theory...
African countries would not comply I’d imagine with social distancing either... it’s just not a thing for them...
1961, 1971, 1976, 1978, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015.... And don't you forget it!

Then there is the well documented Sweden who essentially did nothing and are no better or worse off. Who wouldve thought the human immune system would fight off a virus

Nigeria, Ghana & Kenya all have more cases than Australia. Not sure what that looks like as a percentage of population. I’d also suggest that “reporting” of cases, and deaths due to covid in rural areas in these countries would be highly unreliable.
Not sure we can draw much from that.

Sweden - 571 deaths per Mil Population
Nearest Nordic neighbours
Norway - 47 deaths per M/P
Finland - 60 deaths per M/P
Denmark - 107 deaths per M/P
Household gatherings - 10 people in a home goes to 10 people over and above those who live within the dwelling
Some border restrictions changing for border communities, tightening up on those cross border travellers
COVID Safe Marshall's will be in place around the state, some larger gatherings will require a dedicated COVID Marshall ( I'd suggest large pubs or shopping centres ).
Marshalls at :
Licenced premises, gyms, major shopping centres, hardware stores, food halls, cafe's etc.
The Marshall has no power to fine or the like, it's an advisory role to remind patrons to maintain social distancing etc.
Ie - your local will have to have one of the bar staff making sure people are social distancing.
And if you're planning a gathering which will require a marshall, how do you get one ... ?

HCQ is meant to lessen the severity of Covid. More cases but less deaths in those African countries and pretty much all of the African nations. Statistics as they say can be twisted anyway you want.
On your earlier post regarding India, very low there 34 per mill deaths.
Algeria the highest African nation at 31/mill
Australia 14/mill
Kenya 8/mill
Interestingly in Tanzania where a goat and some papaya tested positive its 0.37 per million deaths

Interesting Stats Daisy, happy to take them on face value.
Given what I'd expect is a lower standard of hospitalization, disease control, and general lack of social distancing initatives in African countries, the numbers are curious. I'd be interested in the opinion of someone with some medical bona fides (no not you Apache) on the following thought bubble. Do the African version of homo sapien, have a higher tolerance, or a genetic advantage in terms of resilience to Covid-19. Perhaps Pysber Or Bays AM can comment here?
The one thing I do take from your above post is this...... clearly the aged care homes in Tanzania have failed to negotiate on the $25k per covid death deal -
