Yeah, how good were they. Coke and Fanta's were my fave's. Used to spend all my pocket money on spare strings.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

I had to laugh watching a kids movie the other day (Aliens In The attic I think), where the kids in the movie stumbled across one of the old ring dial phones and didn't know what it was lol.

Drink machines that you could fit your arm in to score free Choc Shakes were always welcomed (same with the Skill-Testers at Timezone).

And does anyone roll Jaffa's down the aisle at Cinema's anymore (in fact do people even go to cinema's much anymore)?

What's a cinema

Mate, heaps of us are on the look out for one. I know of one that exchanged hands between to of my mates, $2500 was the going rate. I dropped out when the bidding hit $500....

I am Way past 40...

1. 6d worth of fish & chips from my favourite fish shop on Trimmer pde Seaton.

1 piece of fish and a hand full of chips. Perfect.

I was about 6 years old and the old fish shop man leaned over the counter and said very politely, I cannot do this deal anymore.

This is more to say how safe our streets were back in them days.

And my introduction to inflation.

I never went back because I was too young to understand back then.

I thought he just didn't like me....

He was a kind old man with a generous heart because he gave me that deal for years.

2. The oldfields baker that delivered our warm fresh bread by horse & cart.

A whistle would halt the horse.

The good old days.

3. When it was very hot,

our family would come home from the beach and there would be a family size bottle of coke & a family size bottle of Fanta on our doorstep.

Compliments of the Coca Cola Company.

AaaaaHhhhh The good old days....
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

What is happening to our SANFL guys...

Some classic stuff I can relate to people

Wooden crate of Loy's soft drinks delivered to your door
Sneaking a few of mum's bacardi's down the local RSL on a friday night
Catchit clothing
4 TV stations to choose from
Tripping over the remote control cord that plugged into the Beta
Adidas Laser's and Rome's
Bangers and Mash was a weekly meal
C'mon Kids was a TV show, not the punchline for a Michael Jackson joke
Hiding in the boot to get into the Drive-ins
Lock-ins at Timezone or Downtown
Half a pastie with sauce or a Hexy pie at school
