If players wanted to go back to their home clubs and play during byes should this could this be allowed?

I doubt the SANFL coaches would be in favour of that. The risk of injury is no different to playing State football.

Depends on who the players are. League starting 21 probably not. Reserves players on the cusp of being omitted probably yes.
