Shark Park was pretty heavy Saturday, hopefully everyone stays off it during the week.marbles wrote:been playing the kids in preparation for major round, all planned towards to smash the top side this week...look out glenunga, shark park will be ropableSenor Moto Gadili wrote:Lost 5 on the trot and it doesn't get any easier against the top side this week.oldman wrote:Geez something seriously wrong at Henley atm what's going on down there?

Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 2
Round 18 looks to be a cracker already as it looks as though there will be a 3 way fight for the final spot in the five.
Broadies will host SHOC along with Henley hosting Salisbury North.
The Henley vs Broadview clash this week is huge.

Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 2
Whats peoples thoughts on clubs sacking coaches mid year or coaches advising the club they wont be continuing the following year, is it in the clubs best interest to move on straight away or do you keep the coach for the rest of the year?

Very situational.oldman wrote:Whats peoples thoughts on clubs sacking coaches mid year or coaches advising the club they wont be continuing the following year, is it in the clubs best interest to move on straight away or do you keep the coach for the rest of the year?
I'm guessing in most cases this is happening the team is not playing finals football. As long as the 'to be' outgoing coach is willing to coach with the clubs future interest at heart then I'm not sure sacking them mid season is going to achieve much. Hardly think many b grade coaches would step up and all a sudden turn the teams performance around substantially.
On the other hand if them remaining is going to be toxic for the club culture then the call may need to be made.

Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 2
The only extension on that, would depend on the relationship the coach has with the players - if the coach has their respect etc.. or if staying on has the potential to turn bad despite the coach having the best interests of the club at the fore front... but then same would/could apply to any interim coach also.whufc wrote:

How long has Will been out at Broadview? I remember him playing juniors at Gaza.
I sort of work with his old man.

Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 2
Can anyone here tell me how many of Glenungas current a grade squad are local - seem to have had a remarkable turn around from last years result. Reliance on imports may take them somewhere quickly but is a short lived strategy in my view - look at Greenacres, Kilburn, Eastern park to just name a few. When the tap turns off the bottom falls out.

Huge difference between Glenunga and those sides - they have a pretty strong junior program.stealthbomber wrote:Can anyone here tell me how many of Glenungas current a grade squad are local - seem to have had a remarkable turn around from last years result. Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 2
Can anyone at broadies tell me why they decided to play U17 kids in the magoos in last few rounds when the season was still alive. Played a heap of them yesterday at glenunga. Silly move in my books as a win would have put them in the finals. Im not a fan of playing kids who aren't up to it yet infront of guys that have been good all year.A grade couldn't make the 4 but picked some of the best b graders aswell this week. Not sure whom ade the call on the kids ? Did it come from Granger maybe?

Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 2
Div 2 doesn't seem to get much chatter, and even more so the C-grade, however does anyone know what happened on the weekend with SHOC?
Sitting 3rd and playing 5th placed Athelstone and SHOC just didn't show up. 135 to zip!
SHOC now an outside chance of missing finals altogether.
Broadview 4th - 20 points, 61.15%, playing 6th placed PHOS.
Athelstone 5th - 20 points, 57.95%, playing 9th placed Salisbury North.
You'd expect both to win, meaning SHOC currently 4th on 22points and a percentage of 55.64 must win or they'll fall to 5th.
SHOC playing 8th placed Old Scotch would consider themselves favorites, however I'm hearing the boys from Torrens Park are rallying the troops to finish the season with a W.

Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 2
I understand there isn't a heap left to choose from after a few injuries in the A's. The U17s are training with the seniors twice a week, fronting up, so they warrant selection. Looks like the kids were good enough against SHOC last week but maybe just lacking that consistency this weekend just gone? They still had some good players there in the Bs so should have won if they were good enough.Point man wrote:Can anyone at broadies tell me why they decided to play U17 kids in the magoos in last few rounds when the season was still alive.
