cue in the rack is one thing but no goals in the last quarter would really piss the coach off.

boy, do we need a ruckman,
I reckon we'll finish 11 and 7,
still better than last season.

How old is Boyd? He's dominated in the Ruck the last few seasons, not sure if he's nominated for the mid season draft but he would be worth a shot imo.

Unfortunately to late to find a ruckman now .
In the first five games we moved the ball quickly and gave our forwards a chance
the last two we have been way to slow and have given the forwards no chance.
Why was Will Splann playing as a full forward he looked totally lost up there and he has been
excellent in defence and yet we had Luca Whitelum who has at least played forward across half back.
Yesterdays third quarter was the worst we have played for 2 years ,unless we improve next week at Glenelg will be very ugly .

Will was originally a forward.
But yes, it certainly didn't work.

That was an impressive 3rd quarter by the visitors. Witnessed by a decent turn out from their fans. And why not? For the first time in many a season, they showed a running attacking flair that is good to watch (though preferably not as an opposition fan).

Been pantsed in 2 games by the two top teams in totally different fashions. Sturt love the possession style of game clocking up the uncontested marks as they look for gaps up fwd. Norwood run and gun with handball.

Presbury was our best with a couple of decent efforts from Barry, Dittmar and Little who held Callow well.
Kendall was our best of 4 guys who played ruck against Boyd. He dominated, but sadly, after McCormacks season ended, we have the worst ruck stocks of any Club in the league.

Agreeed, Boyd had 24 disposals, only 1 mark (but only averages 1.9 anyway) and is probably the best ruckman in the league. We always knew they'd dominate the ruck. Harvey Howe as a 19 year old debutant finished with 10 disposals 2 marks). I thought he showed a lot of promise for a first gamer. The experienced ruckman as soon as the balls thrown up, crosses the line and "strong arms" the opposing ruckman, negating the jump. I think he should be better next time for the lesson.

Boyd’s second efforts are exceptional.. agreed some AFL teams could use him - his slight lack of height at that level the only thing holding him back in the recruiters eyes
