Re: Whyalla Football League
Bit quiet on here as of late.
Centrals over Weerona Bay on the weekend was a bit of a shock. Did Centrals have a sudden influx of different players from the week before or were Weerona Bay just really bad? Centrals were disgraceful against North the week before and I cannot work out how they could even grind out a win over Weerona Bay.
Is this season going to be a two horse race between West and North after North easily defeated Roopena on the weekend?

The bays were just that bad.
I reckon Roopena are suffering a double premiership hangover, there is no intensity to the footy and it is a very 'going through the motions' style of play at the moment. Think that come the end of the season Roos will be there abouts again. Pace on Bennett will be a big issue though.

Re: Whyalla Football League
Only just caught the results of last weekend's matches. Bays haven't won a game so not sure Central winning that is all that surprising. North beating Roopena by the amount they did is more of a surprise to me.
West 10
North 8
Roopena 6
Central 4
South 2
W/Bay 0
Covino from West must be some chance to kick 100, 8 against South last week. Has 25 or 26 I think?
Reserves
West 10
North 8
Roopena 6
South 4
W/Bay 2
Central 0

Pretty uninspiring game on Sunday, not much intensity in the game. West just seemed to be coasting. They will get smashed by North next week if they play like that again.

Roos cost themselves with their atrocious disposal out of the backline and the young fellas not being able to stick tackles through the midfield. Will disagree with the coasting part, as Roopena were quite successful in patches in shutting West down, just would let them slip for 5 or so min where West would dominate. Mind you West had a lot more scoring shots and to have any chance Roos need to keep that pressure all day. There are a number of very sore boys, including the Roopena player who I have heard either has seen a doctor today or went to hospital last night, which might suggest there was a bit of intensity in the game.

Will Westies smash North again this week or will the tables turn? Either way you can pencil them in for this years GF.

A 10 point win to West last time they played is hardly a smashing!

Re: Whyalla Football League
I have heard from a source within the club that it is likely Matt Oliver won't pull on the Roopena guernsey again this year. Anyone else heard this?

People who bought this book also bought a stool and some rope. Unknown literary critic
