The 36ers officially announce Jerome Randle has re-signed for next season.
Randle was the first 36ers player to win the NBL’s leading scorer honours averaging 23ppg at an impressive 45.7%. He was also second in the league with assists averaging 5.17apg. Jerome was awarded the NBL’s Fan’s Most Valuable Player voted by NBL fans all across the country.
“Last season, thanks to Joey and the Adelaide people I found my love for the game again” said Randle “I get to play with a great bunch of guys, I can’t wait to come back and help the Sixers win a Championship”
“Zhordan (Jerome’s wife) and I love Adelaide, the people and the lifestyle is great. We are both very happy to be coming back next season” said Jerome.

I think signing Randle puts us right in the frame for a championship. I think he was the MVP last season. We sucked without him and we were awesome with him. It's an award that should always be about value so unlike other awards I don't see missing games as the same black mark as other sports.
With the other players we already have, this gives us a real sharp look. Let's also not underestimate how much better he should be with the extra familiarity that comes from being in a place for the full preseason. Probably the most exciting signing since Julius Hodge. Let's just hope it ends a little better.
Good to see Channel 9 are showing Game 2 of the GF tomorrow live!

Pretty average playoffs which was disappointing after a good regular season
It was a poor GF series no doubt, not helped by the large distance between Perth and Auckland, the condensed schedule (should've been played over 2 weeks not 1 allowing more rest time NZ were cooked in G3), poor officiating and two dour teams who are both very much defence first.
Lets just pray to the gods that neither of these teams make it back to the GF next season, it's been 7 straight years of either Perth or NZ in the GF and the third time they've both made it.

Also Basketball Australia have named a preliminary 26 man squad for the Olympic Games which will be reduced to 16 for a selection camp from July 5-10.

and no AJ Ogilvy presumably he made himself unavailable. A few of those guys are just training camp fodder.
The nice inclusion was Kevin Lisch, his naturalisation must be about to come through and means he can slot into Gibbo's usual spot.

Fingers crossed Ben Simmons is available and that lame brained moron Andrej Lemanis doesn't leave him out again. Bogut said recently that Simmons was still 'burned' about that. Lemanis will go down in history as the only coach to ever leave Ben Simmons out of his team. Having Ben available and contributing is absolutely essential to competing for a medal IMO.
A little disappointed that AJ Ogilvy isn't included. At this point I think he would contribute more than Jawai.
Will be great to have Joe Ingles back in the fold and the majority of the team looks settled. Hopefully Exum is recovered but certainly wouldn't be counting on that. Don't think he'll be in a position to play much if he is included.

The Jazz would be closing their eyes if he plays
He hurt himself playing for the Boomers didn't he?

Not sure Dante will be available for selection yet. A pretty intense competition to come back from injury to.
Remember when Simmons wasn't selected he was only 16 years old. Gets pushed around a bit now so would have been worse then, don't think he enjoys the physicality too much
Boti Nagy alluded the other day that AJ wasn't selected because of his attitude/ego
