In fairness, everything sounds real fishy to you though.

Has any local footy grounds been approved for more than 1000 people? How are any country grounds any different to Norlunga which has 3000 capacity. BL&G have lodged a safe plan but have been told even if approved it will be a 2000 capacity. Still no decision

To me this no standing eating and drinking is a rule put in place for sporting finals, i would put my house on it being removed once the finals around the state are over

SFL have been selling tickets based on 1,000 but once the COVID plan is approved they increase sales to 2,000.

e.g. Aldinga is hosting the SFLW GF on Sunday, they had to stop selling tickets yesterday as it was maxed out, got their plan approved this morning and tickets are now re-opened.

We had standing drinking for 5 weeks and then they got a positive they all waxed lyrical about, changed the rules. then the next day announced it was a false positive. Is there any evidence there was ever a positive test in the 1st place, sounds real fishy to me.

Does it make you wonder why we have done so well as a state or is it all a load of bullshit in your opinion?

There cant be any transmission if it doesnt exist in the community can there?
Sure, have your quarentine for people coming from hotspots but geez the rest of the state doesnt need any restrictions whatsoever

Days has a point, we could easily relax restrictions further here in SA. As long as our testing rates maintain good levels with no community transition then there isn't an issue.

Side.note looks like SA will open borders to NSW next week. That makes SA open to all states bar the poor old Vics.

Now let's get this bloody state moving again.

It’s having a big effect on freight and the travel industry. There is no real sense in the NSW border remaining closed. Victoria fair enough to stay shut but if it’s safe to open NSW that should be done ASAP

We can go to our friends houses, the footy, the pub, anywhere we like in regional SA. Things that we weren't able to do during "lock down" (was hardly lock down when you look at Vic's Stage 4 ) are all back. So you have to sit to have a beer. Toughen the f*ck up.

Have not had 1 bit of freight delayed. South Australians can travel anywhere they like in SA, support the local businesses and the others can do the same.

Not being rude but as you aren’t in the industry you aren’t seeing the problems that we do. Your freight might be fine but many others aren’t. It’s a logistical nightmare currently. Even just NSW opening up would provide many more time and cost efficient options

So at this point we've established our COVID restrictions in SA is complicating some freight logistics, I'll take your educated word for it.

What else?

Just got back from a short trip to Yorkes and the people at the apartments where we stayed said they'd never been busier.
Closed borders seems to be helping a lot of the local tourism industry rather than hurting it.

I’m not worried about the little things like drinking at a bar etc and think most of our restrictions are fine and the government is doing a great job.
The NSW border opening could safely be opened now which would allow many industries to operate successfully. The tourism industry definitely needs a boost and places like the Barossa could really do with the money that comes from NSW especially with school holidays coming up. Already after just 1 day of ACT being open there is a massive increase to airline seats sales to Adelaide, Qantas is putting more flights on and Virgin is looking at re-instating Canberra to Adelaide flights. Hotel capacity in Adelaide is right down currently so every tourist dollar helps.

AFL Crowds
Local Sports Training and Games all require huge amounts of paperwork, a dedicated marshal and other equally useless modifications.
Poker at the Casino is still closed.

Eliminate the virus within the state (done already) and quarantine anyone coming back in (happening and supported). Let the rest of us return to the Old Normal, not this "new" rubbish.

I went to Wilpena Pound on Tuesday and the place was choc-o-block. In recent weeks I went to Port Lincoln (Same) and also the Mount (Bit quieter). My work itself has never been busier since I’ve been in the role. When NSW opens back up I’ll be thrilled so I can get back out there and start harassing some faces that I haven’t seen in a while :)

Clare has been pumping every weekend since we were allowed back out.

Local tourism has definitely boomed up here
