They finished the minor round second I think, but went out in straight sets.

Paul Dorian continuing again at Old Igs as As coach with Peter Ward taking over as the B Grade coach. Carlo Calabrese as captain and Cliff Flower has finally retired (we think) at about age 129 after about 250-odd games.

Cliffy Flower retiring ! I will believe it when i see it !

Any relation to Peter Flower who also played in the Great Southern and River Murray Leagues (i'm pretty sure he went to Old Ig after leaving Ramblers in RMFL).

yeah he's his brother.

It's funny, those two are like chalk and cheese. Pete Flower was a loose cannon both on and off the field, flashy as they come. Cliffy was (and is?) the ever-reliable Mr Nice Guy who could always be relied on to give it 110%.

Both great guys though!

Was 2004 I think, the year PAOC came from the Elimination final. Think they finished second and lost to SHOC and PAOC in the first two weeks.

I'm pretty sure it was because we played against him the only year he was out there, and we didn't hit A3 until 04...

Just checked, 04 was the year. Lost to SMOSH in the Qualifying and PAOC in the 1st Semi.

I remember as the 1st Semi against PAOC was at Payneham, and I played in the magoos final before it, came out after a shower and it was 11 goals to 1 at 1/4 time...

Not a bad effort from PAOC to come from the Elimination final to win the GF and it looked as if they won all finals comfortably, apart from the Elimination being the closest

SMOSH were the stand-out side all year, Trent Ormand-Allen was playing for them. Pretty sure him and Adam Virgin tied for the medal - definately know that Virgin tied with someone.
Unreal to look at PNU, and think a few years later they are in D2 - just shows how things can turn around.

Portland would want to pull there fingers out their ass if they want Marshall from Seaton.
Apparently he's been offered $400 at Ardrossan & they could go as high as $600.
I know Portland only want to offer $100 & obviously they've got no chance unless Marshall wants to see his career out playing in his luvable POWER colours.
I've told Ardrossan i'm his manager so they better give him $600.
I think you'll see him at Ardrossan!! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Portland have not made any offer to Marshall.

As far as i know Haven havent formally offered anything either, but i know they have contacted him.

He wont be playing there though, i know this for a fact.

Not sure haven can afford Hood and Marshall in the same team. Just to throw another team in the mix I hear he may be enticed to the Salisbury Magpies especially with his new father in law a club legend down there he may well throw on the old black and white in 2008.

That'd be good to see, Newman.
