On that note it surprises me we dont see bowlers more often try and bowl with only half a foot or one foot back from the line occasionally. Weve seen blokes bowl from as far back as the umpire but the more subtle variation would almost act as the perfect slower ball without having to change action or grip.

Agree again, the only bowler that comes to my mind that I've seen do that sort of thing is Keiron Pollard, I remember him bowling level with the umpire. I'm not sure if others have done it?

cant even blame a large number of no balls or wides either, havent seen any as working when i saw the overs at tea i thought there must had been a rain delay, obviously not

Yep, I've said that before.
Even more variation at the crease, if normally get in over the umpire just go a fraction wider and change up the angles

x3. We have some very unimaginative test cricketers it would seem when it comes to trying for variation.
