Re: Adelaide AFL fans = SOFT
Booooring. Every fricking Port home showdown has the same argument about Crows supporters being soft.
How 'bout concentrating on coming up with solutions to fix the lack of numbers at the game instead?
Both supporter bases are to blame. Port for having f..k all supporters, and Crows for being spiteful to Port.

I've always said they are guaranteed 2 matches, and should share home ground on both occasions. If both clubs sold tickets, they would get sellouts for both games.

That would probably work, especially if the media didn't stir everybody up, and bring out the worst in attendees, so that people felt comfortable taking their kids to the match as they usually do elsewhere...

Re: Adelaide AFL fans = SOFT
It's a nice idea to share the showdown crowd, but can you guys explain to me the logistics of dealing with the 2 sets of season ticket holders?
Or are you just going to open up the stadium and reduce the season tickets for each club to 10 games only?

How about the first 25,000 members to nominate attending from each club's membership list, and then Crows members or neutral supporters get the ones not taken up on the Power allocation?

I'm not an Adelaide fan, but why, Redden? Not sure how you can relate the two given they are in different cities and different clubs are involved.
Or are you just being grumpy again?

Huh??? Only 4 500 up on the average Freo crowd from last year (37 400) where as More Adelaide supporters 6000 rocked up than the average Port crowd from last year 25 000, source wikipedia
In other words more Adelaide Crows fans showed up to the Showdown compared to West Coast Fans to the Daarby based on what both Freo and Port can expect for an average home crowd gate...
Unlike Port, Freo actually have members and crowd support....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Re: Adelaide AFL fans = SOFT
As it was a Freo home game I would guess a few of them did not use their tickets. The West Coasters all scrambled for tickets as usual like other years and bought out the spare allocation.Unlike what happens here year after year with the Crows 40,000 not buying out the spare seats as previously posted which baffles me each and every time . Weak as piss.
