i think the burner is a more forgiving club.
I was either going with one of those or a cobra amp offset driver and the latter won!

So now im looking at getting a membership, anyone know any good deals for courses that suit a mid-high handicapper at this stage!

Was looking at belair, only 15mins from home and the pat - which gives you use of the par 60 which ive been playing for a quick round friday arvos.

Mate I've been dealing with DallasGolf in the US over eBay and they are really good to deal with. Average price on irons and hybrids is around US$66. Their online shop has heaps of listings. TGW is also easy to deal with.

have a look at golf clearance warehouse, they sometimes have cheap sets of irons. Otherwise maybe shoot round to some pro shops.
Reckon West lakes had a set of r11's (demos but still basicly brand new) with a new r11 bag for about $650-700.
Im sure other clubs would have a set or 2 at a clearance price.

I picked my r9's up brand new for $500 for 4-SW
They have made a pretty good difference from old ones and were pretty cheap!

They are newer and would have better technology then burners, RBZ's probs just a bit less but at the end of the day it all comes down to the feel of the club to you. Only risk which I had to take and so would you is buying a set without testing them. I spoke at length about a few things with the pro and he was very confident I would be able to hit the irons I bought.
If ya like and they are still there I will have a look tomorow and get more details, shaft type etc and get the actual price. Will also ask if they have anything else. When I bought mine they had about 6 different sets, some demo's, some superseeded models (i reckon thats ya best bet for a bargain price!)

Dallasgolf have them $999 3-pw that's not including shipping I presume.
Just went to an Australian site and they had same set for $399
The site was Australia golf online.....

Just had a quick look at the site, wouldnt touch it. Only pay by visa or debit card and their email is a gmail account. Not good signs of a reputable online site. And iron sets at one third of the price of other discount online sites.

Their email address is info@dallasgolf.com. I just bought a brand new Adams hybrid from them. I ordered a 4iron and they sent a 5 iron. When I reported it via the message system they did not hesitate to send me a replacement which left on priority mail today. It was $124 landed here in SA in eight days. $146 at Golf World on North Terrace. I will be buying a Ping G25 driver from them as soon as they come onto the open market
