The brave run of Blighty Teasdale and Chicken Noodles has come to an end after top four teams Summer of George and Killer Wombats earned redemption by claiming promotion in the Division III Semi Finals. Georgie boy returned to top scoring to trump an unlucky Blighty who would have cleaned up both the Wombats and the Chooks if the draw had fallen differently. Killer Wombats have had a career best season and they confirmed their place in Division II next season with a comfortable victory over Chicken Noodles who didn't do the business in the Semi.

Next week we have the reversal finals with the Wombats facing in-form Wadeys Warriors and Summer of George will be up against the Shiatshu Shiners in the Preliminary Finals.

Wadeys Warriors and the Summer of George have won through to the Division III Grand Finals after the Killer Wombats and the ShiatsuShiners misfired in the Preliminary Finals last weekend. Both teams didn't really fire in the Qualifying Final either so they didn't do enough to make the Grand Final. The Grand Final will be the second finals match up between Georgie Boy and the Warriors. Summer of George has been the best side all year but Wadey's Warriors have proven to be a bogey side winning both of their clashes so far this season. But it's this week that counts.....

It was a fitting finale for one of the closest Hogg Leagues I can recall as Summer of George claimed the Division III with a nailbiting four point win the Grand Final. Georgie boy had struggled with the Warriors all season and certainly didn't win easily, but win he did. Congratulations to both teams on an excellent season in what was a highly competitive league. There could be a bit of a rivalry coming up between these two sides in Division II next season.
