Re: Womens Teams Announced
Big bash simply can't be the model for support as 95% of the games were played before the men's game hense the crowd numbers. I went to a stand alone WBBL game and there wouldn't of been 100 people watching
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Every protester who wears that mask to a rally should be shot on the spot.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.
If you want to go far, go together.

Salisbury North under 15's is currently a better standard. I hope it improves, More exposure I'm sure it will.
My biggest question is yes there may be sponsor dollars but how will they get bag for there buck? Honestly how many would attend a stand alone women's game? They would need to have at least at a minimum double headers and obviously that wont work with interstate sides. Its just not viable to open a stadium for 250 people to go watch an 'AFL' Game.
Many may think I'm being sexist or what ever I'm clearly not, I have 3 daughters and if they chose to play Football I'll be there biggest supporter but unfortunately at this stage I just don't think the product is there at this stage.
I'm actually thinking of encouraging my daughter to take up footy again, she has a great one grab mark and kicks as good as most women I've umpired and she's only 13. Cricket, athletics, volleyball and netball may have to take a back seat though.
Did you ever see that chick play for Fitzroy would have been 1 or 2 years above your lad when he was there. Connie Vlass was her name, went close in the association medal. Absolute gun, will play for one of these teams eventually.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

Yeah mate, she's awesome, I have no doubt that there is a pathway for her, I've umpired her a few times too and given her votes.
