It doesn't carry any sick bravado where the line between semi-professional and Community Football becomes a bit close to comfort (I have general discomfort about it, but the occasional bravado about it i detest).
We started doing it at the start of this season to make the new guys feel welcomed and get their names out to our tens of fans of facebook. It did create some chatter among the lads during preseason asking when their profiles were going to be put up. I reckon its all a bit of fun.
you know you can still do that and have the page set to private?
FP have a page where clubs news is posted and then a private page just for FP players and members where recruiting info and training info is posted.
FaceBook 101 with Mighty Hounds![]()
FP have much to hide maybe, like the $ i saw the football department chews up at an AGM 2 years back ... jeepers ... glad my lads junior fees and snag money goes to good use
yeh maybe, don't really talk about money sprint.

We have a private page for players too. Getting the recruits out on the public one means their family and friends get to see it too and it increases the club's range to more people, especially when the players are from out of town.
In the end its each to their own.

I mean wow... a div 3 reserves premiership star!! Incredible!! But what youre doing is more effort youll see than plenty other clubs are doing and Bos are fortunate to have people going to such trouble in their spare time to enhance the brand name![]()

Agreed it creates a good brand awareness for club members. Also good that the players have there own page which is set to private. You don't want Joe Public seeing whats written on those pages which belongs to the players only lol lol. Thats for the X rated stuff between the lads

Re: Ch9AFL Division 5 - 2017
BOS has somehow managed to snag Luke Porplycia who played at SMOSH for a million years.
Obviously on the veterans side of his career now but great pickup nonetheless.

Pooraka and Hope Valley 5th and 6th Robb? No way, I'm expecting top 4 at least if they both keep their last year's squads together. Both had good depth too. They weren't bad in Div 4 this year and should both do well in Div 5 IMO.
