Dedj in the nightshift, good work mate.

Smith now has the most runs as a visiting batter at Lords, 591 @59.1 from 10 innings.
Starc take a wicket in his first over of a Test match for the 19th time
Rababa now has 332 test wickets for SA going past Allan Donald last.

So was that shot worse than the shot he played 1st ball?

What you expect batsmen to do with shit angled down legside?
Just let them go ?
If ya not gonna play at them , then you shouldn't be in the side.

Gets a bit more bat on it and it goes for 4 we dont think nothing of it.
Agree, I obviously don't mind given blokes a crack for a poor shot but if Head isn't playing a shot at that then he might as well go play lawn balls.

It's weird how Rabada has got to 332 it what appears so quickly, given that we don't play the Saffers very often someone like me doesn't realise how much cricket they do play, he still is a young fella in my view.

I am way out of whack with South African cricket though, there is only 4 players in their team that I know of.

I see the ground staff are copping a bollocking over what they call a "disaster" as 14 wickets fell on day one.

I don't mind it, it is called a "test" and that's what it does, Smudge and Nikki seemed to cope alright.

Hazlewood's knock of 0* may yet prove crucial in a low-scoring match.

Different breed Queenslanders, especially the further North you go.

I've worked in the QLD oil & gas fields, which isn't that far north at all, and that's enough for me!

Went to sleep at the tea break and was hoping we would still be batting at stumps as Webster and Carey looked comfortable out there.

Think Aus are slightly ahead, big first hour tonight!

Carey deserves his spot in the side, there is no doubt, his spot isnt at threat.

But lets be serious for a second, other than everyone's favourite Matty Wade what keeper have we had in the last 20 years that has dropped as many regulation catches as he has.

Maybe it's just my memory but i just don't recall Healy, Gilly (who wasn't the greatest keeper, and we all remember his career ending drop), Haddin, Paine dropping as many regulation catches of the pacemen. Maybe they did......there doesn't seem to be much if anything statically on drop catches that i can find.

Last night’s drop wasn’t great, both in the attempt and timing.

Beau Webster … why the faaark wasn’t this dude selected long ago. Was lucky that the Proteas didn’t challenge an LBW but jeez, he made the most of that chance.

Rababa has taken 2 more wickets in the same amount of innings as Donald (129).
