The crows version has the "hoops" still showing but only by the colour changes of the art work which makes it work I think.

I don't really like the look of either but what it represents is brilliant and a great way to honour Indiginous people.

Alot of these 'themed' rounds in the AFL are corny commercial rubbish but not this one, infact I think more should be done this round, it should be a marque round in the AFL.

i agree in that the rounds are somewhat corny, but I think they do serve their intended purpose too, which is to highlight a specific part of our game that should be celebrated (whether that be women, indigenous people, heritage, war heroes etc etc)

I guess the ANZAC round is the one that started the "theme" but I think there is definitely room in our game for these sorts of themed rounds, even if they are blatantly commercial.

i dont see an issue with them naming every round of the season tbh.

doesnt really detract from the game itself.

i guess if you start naming it after silly stuff, then it could detract from the other causes you are trying to highlight, but other than that, go for it. adds a small extra bit of interest

Yeah it was a piss take of the AFL naming every second round so they jumped in on the act. AFL had nothing to do with it.

The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Otten due back too, seems like he would have been back regardless though.

Reckon Lyons deserves another crack too

That's a fair point. CEY has been on our list long enough that we need to find out whether he can cut it
