Yep I agree .. Skills short of the best in the world, but that was entertaining. We know we lack the quality of the bigger teams, but geez our boys nearly always have a top crack on the big stage. Can't ask for much more

I get a bit sick of hearing this. Not because it isn't true, but because I think we should aim a bit higher than honourable losses or honourable draws.

We played well, but once again a moment's poor defending costs us.

Not sure he would have the same impact from the off, especially when the game is played at a tighter and at a slower pace that most games open at.

His value imho is once the game opens up and a bit more space becomes available

Nothing to do with not aiming higher mate, we just don't have the star power of other sides and at the end of the day, ability is massive in this game

I dunno, maybe he could do what leckie does. Having that on both flanks would be great.

Kruse is just so slow and tries to hold ball up

Yep.
Apart from the odd up and comer like Arzani we shouldn’t be picking A league players. If you aren’t playing in a decent league OS you are no good

Our defensive shutdown of the Danes for 96% of that match was outstanding. We deserved very much to win but shit happens.

The part that disappoints me is that after the WC is done and dusted we will get yet another Australian Coach who will send us backwards at the rate of knots. I get Australian coaches tend to play more locals and assist depth, but that level tonight was outstanding. Apart from a 15 second glitch we controlled the Worlds 12 ranked team on the biggest stage.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

True but I think Leckie has other ways to get in a game, his good in the air, his physically strong from years in the tough German leagues.

Arzani isn’t even a full regular starter for Melbourne City

So, we are still alive, but must beat Peru. Mabbout will be missing. Who takes his place? I assume Juric starts and Timmy takes over after 60 mins. Can't see either being able to play out a full game. Surely not McLaren

If Cahill didn’t come on for Nabbout tonight does he ever come on

That had Timmy’s name written all over it

I love Timmy but he is done. No form leading into the WC makes it hard
