He had time off after losing to Austin at WM 14 due to his back problems and that was for about 4 years. He came back in 2002. Like I posted a couple weeks back, he wanted to leave a couple years back, but Vince convinced him to stay.

well seen there is a mass exidus from WWE to TNA lately, i wouldnt be surprised if he was on there in a few weeks. Also what happened to Mick Foley now that he had to quit TNA. will he return to WWE?

HBK won't join TNA. He didn't leave WWE because he was unhappy, he left because he wants a big break to heal his injuries and spend time with his family. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him in another match (in the WWE) before the end of the year and be used as an occasional 'special attraction'.
Don't think Foley has actually been fired, only in the storyline. Will likely be back in TNA soon.
