They wouldn't be playing Swepson if Agar wasn't hit with covid imo
Only other options over there are Behrendorff (would give a new ball option) Dwarshius (meh)

It was a ripper of a ball.

I'd go the Dorff!!! I'm not sold on Ellis and I don't like the other dude's moustache.

Standard Australian ODI series between world cups.

We tried a few players, we kept some others on, we will be better for the run.

Just keep winning test matches,
win against Sri Lanka next, then on to India,
can't wait for that!

Yeah the bilateral series in ODI's (and also T20I's for that matter) are just glorified trial matches in preparation for World Cup now.

Head and McDermott have showed they are capable, Carey and Zampa are first choice players, Labuschagne, Green and Swepson will be at least good back up players in the squad. Finch is done and Stoinis can't remain a first choice player if he's just playing as a batsman and not bowling IMO. Ellis and Abbott are obviously a long way off the quality of Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood and also J. Richardson.

Green is no back up player.
He'll kill 50 over cricket.
Just hope he can handle the workload cause he's an elite test player.

What I mean is he (and the other two) is at the least a back up/squad member at this point in time, that's not to say he won't be a first choice player in the ODI team by October next year.
I agree that he could potentially kill ODI cricket and hope he does, I'm just not getting ahead of myself thinking how good he's going to be and what he's going to do for Australia in the future.
