Re: River Murray Football League talk
Spot on insider,Tim & Sam should be commended 4 their ability 2 keep the club strong & united.I can see Jervois maintaining their dominance 4 many years 2 come.Because of their UNITY-STRENGTH & STABILITY,no-one wants 2 leave football clubs like Jervois. Its a proven recipe 4 success. So you knockers learn from them instead of bitching about them.

Re: River Murray Football League talk
At a guess, and this is purely a guess, i'd say the Jervois players to play 4 would include Zac Ewer, Sam Mahoney, Tyron Hill, Russell Jarvis, maybe Scott Baxter, Burkett and Stimpson.

For Jervois you can add Mason.
I think the Morphy boys are Gaskin, Sampson, Beeching, Fishlock, Pollard, Short and Earl. There might be more, or one of them might have played in 3. Impressive list of names though!

Willunga players who played in all 4.
D Hams, T Steele, B Baxter, A Carnevale, C Dobson, M Portlock, M Wadewitz, M Radbone, W Glass, S Mcgowan.
There may be a couple of others but not sure if they played in all 4 or 3.

he played juniors at ramblers i believe. he then coached at karoonda for 2 years and returned to play a's for ramblers this year. i heard he only applied for the mypo job. wales resigned with the chooks. dunno if they even advertised?
also heard some goss about the chooks:
morris to return to do another pre season in town and have another crack at league. you would imagine that 23? is too old for league these days though, but good luck to him.
also jackson has no interest in playing next year
AND gerradi (how the hell do you spell that??) is retiring
so with machetti and zadow getting a bit old in the teeth and these players leaving, ramblers could be even more worse off next year.

Re: River Murray Football League talk
doesnt look good in Rambler town than does it.
No morris, Jackson and Ghad? no forward line. Their whole stucture of GHad and jackson one out is all over than. Hmmm???
I think mypo were ok this year maybe next year they might be a real shot at it? After all they did beat the premier by 10 goals on their home deck. but i guess Jervois loss that week and a against ramblers the week after was what they needed.

Maybe Ramblers need a clean out. Their current list isnt doing the job for them, so it might be for the best that coaches and players are moving on...
By the way...looks like Jervois have bolstered their ruck stocks...

Re: River Murray Football League talk
yeah i think ramblers definitely missed their 'premiership boat' the last two years. they had all their local boys back from town and picked up a couple of extras but they just couldnt pull it off. actually they didnt even get really close to pulling it off. not enugh heart perhaps. with the new points system it will be even tougher for them to replace 2 key fwds. fair to say they are the hardest to recruit, especially 2 of them!
had you jervois boys not been so dominant the old chooks could/should/wouldve won a flag..
will be interesting to see how mypo go next year. new coach and i read that joe pedlar (eagles) is heading out there with the other two, dunno who he will bring with him. i havnt heard of anyone leaving from out there so a couple extra to top up the existing list would be just what they need. they were the only team to convincingly beat the years premiers, and it was on your home deck too. no mean feat i guess

Whoever it is needs to do the job until Scotty Baxter is dragged out of retirement again. One of the best rucks in the RMFL is Scotty.
Not taking anything away from Scotty but some of the ruckman were terrible last year...watched the replay of the grand final last week...the Imps ruckman wouldnt want to see it too many times...

I think Crossy played all his junior footy at Wynarka, then some senior footy there, played a year or 2 at Tailem, then went to Ramblers, coached Karoonda, then back to Ramblers. Dont think he played junior footy for Ramblers but not 100% on that one.
Although Ramblers haven't made it to a GF despite their list, i dont think they could afford a clean out with this new points system. Will be interesting to see if Crossy takes many Chooks with him to Mypo. Losing Gerardi and Jackson will be a big loss though obviously, no doubt they'll be desperate to get Vogt back from Western Australia.
Anyone know the latest with Seyers, is he staying with Imps, going to Ramblers, or going somewhere outside the RMFL??

Re: River Murray Football League talk
with the new points system you wouldnt imagine crossy would be taking anyone from ramblers. dunno if there are too many players there worth the 3 points to mypo.
have also heard that vines may not be 100% either as he went there to play with gerardi
may be a tough year for the chooks in 08
havnt heard anything about the great man sayers
im sure there will be plenty of stories about him over the next couple of months though
