Based on this principle, Kersbrook should have also defeated Nairne last weekend, cause they figured them out in the prelim last year.

Interesting to note the number of changes for both sides from the 2015 GF. Kersbrook have 6 players different, while Bridgy have 10 different.

Nairne struggled in the finals last yr due to the Courier Cup hangover.. Bridgy will be angry for letting the obvious slip last yr. Expect them to have a great yr. HFL offering more points at the last minute so they can assure this happens

Not sure why you'd say this - Bridgy are currently using only half of the points they've been allocated. Dont need points when you attract ex-juniors back to the club.

Kersbrook have 6 different, Bridgey have 10.
That's interesting, how would you compare the ins to both of these teams?
A few names there I don't know.

Looking forward to seeing the local Birdwood v Gumeracha game tomorrow and experiencing the day's atmosphere as a bit of a novice. Should be vastly different to that of a lower grade SAAFL game (c1). Who to support, friend lives at Birdwood but Gumeracha do share Uni's jumper...footy will be the winner.

So apart from the disgraceful, sniping performance from the Gum B grade which was an embarrassment to footy, what did you think of the day Finn?

A much better performance by our boys on saturday stuck with nairne for just over 3 qtrs , was a great game tight, end to end , a real arm wrestle . Then the quality nairne took over in the last with 14 scoring shots to 5 to run out 21 point winners.

A great effort but a loss is a loss but good to see some improvement after losing to gums

Thanks to all the nairne boys who came in for a beer!

Was my first home game in country footy and it was great to rock up to a packed oval with juniors playing made for a great atmosphere! Much better then the years in the saafl with no games before seniors!

Looks like Kangy's have had a massive amount of ins this season, will take some time for these blokes to gel... great to hear you guys were competitive. Always enjoyed a beer or 3 down there & those steak sangers are awesome as well...

Round3 Tips this week....

Birdwood Vs Kangarilla - I think Birdwoods talls will be too much to handle down forward for Kangarilla this week 5 goal plus win.
Bridgewater Vs Nairne - Game of the round.... this will be a true indication to Nairne if they have improved in the off season... expect Bridgewater to get up on their home ground by around 6 goals plus.
Gumeracha Vs Macclesfield - Macclesfield by 10 goals.
Meadows Vs Kersbrook - Kersbrook still have the smarts and skills to tear sides apart will be another close game I think but Kersbrook getting up by 3 goals.

I'll go Birdwood by 15 goals+ and the Chad to kick another haul (pretty sure he kicked bags against them both times last season, they just couldn't handle him)
Nairne in a close one, 3 goals
Gumeracha to get another win, few games in and players starting to gel a bit together, 2 goals
Kersbrook easy, 10+ goals

Got down to see Kersbrook and the raiders. Bridget played terribly and only went down by 4-5
If they clean that up they will be a huge threat later in the year. BW by 2 goals.

Bird wood by 4 goals

Gums by less then a goal (I hope)

Kersbrook by 10

Understand it might be Chad Dawe's 300th match for Meadows FC against Kersbrook this weekend. Kudos to the guy who has done a fair bit at that Footy Club and the HFL.

Tips for this round
Kangarilla Vs Bridgewater - Bridgewater by over 10 goals
Kersbrook Vs Gumeracha - Kersbrook by over 10 goals
Macclesfield Vs Birdwood - Might be a close one... I'm picking Maccy at home by 4 points
Nairne Vs Meadows - Meadows by 2 points in another close one.

I reckon all games will be greater than 10 goals this weekend..
Bridgewater by 10 goals+
Kersbrook by 10 goals+
Birdwood by 10 goals+ (if Jock doesn't break his arm in the first 5 minutes again)
Nairne by 10 goals+

And this is why these teams will be your top 4 at season's end..
