HOLLYWOOD actor Charlton Heston has died, family members have announced, according to Sky News.

The star, who was 84-years-old, was best known for his leading roles in Ben-Hur and The Ten Commandments.

Was diagnosed with Alziemers in 2002 and it was always a matter of time.

Another great actor gone

With all due respect, Charlton Heston wasn't a great actor..he was as wooden as they come, the Tom Cruise of an earlier era. He starred in some great films but to suggest the man was a great actor is laughable.

harsh call reb, surely the diverse characters he played proved he was a great actor, i can't recall seeing reb 'part the red sea'

His best work was up there with the greats...William Shatner, Keanu Reeves, Burt Reynolds, Hayden Christiansen, Steven Segall

Don't mean to disrespect the dead, and I am sure that he believed that he was doing the right thing, but he led a few too many gun rallies, hot on the heels of gun massacres, for my liking. That is what I will remember him for most unfortunately.
I thought he was a good actor though. I liked his movies.

I enjoyed watching him on the Rockford Files.

Known for being equally proficient on the small screen, as he was in movies.
