Interesting call on Sellar...hanst set the world on fire a SANFL level and might be in trouble if Glenelg's injury free run continues..

Elliot of South was a Rookie for the Crows in 2006 and only got one year, dare say he will be a good SANFL footballer but no further

MAl

Farmer is one of Port Powers rookies - so he is already on a list.

You can add young Lachie McGregor to that list - still developing and very raw (game sense) but will be a very good SANFL player. Unfortunately a bit small for AFL (will be what AFL scouts will think even though he has the ability)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Panthers have 3 Star Search winners already this season all 3 very much potential draftees as all under 20yo. Once the extra AFL teams are in players like these won't even play SANFL as they will be taken earlier thereby reducing the standard we all now enjoy.

IMHO Matthew Wright has been the standout. To be playing as well and with as much courage as he currently is after what he went through and a limited preseason is unbeleivable.
Similar to Selwood at Geelong hes taken on a leadership role within the club despite being a teenager.
An absolute monty for this years draft.

Lol. I can't believe this merits a new thread. Why don't you pick the highest profile kids in the SANFL and leave it at that? Oh, hang on, you did.

Here's a new challenge. Let's take out any player who has played league and any AFL (current or former) listed player and see who can come up with some talented kids coming through. Simply naming all the guys under 21 playing league or on an AFL list, and spitting out well known facts about them does not make anyone a guru of SANFL footy!

You could add Nick Wark for Sturt, had a great 1st year in 07 and has continued on this year, for an 18 year old he has a frame that can go straight into AFL footy.
