C/D will get away.. BOM says forecast is only 40, and the difference with last week was the Saturday was off the back of extremely hot days, and followed by hot days, where as this Sat is the only 40 degree day before a cool change drops it away again.

Latest forecast issued an hour ago is 42. It's been in the 30's all week and don't forget they will be in the elements longer this week playing A grade hours for the one day game.....

Both bat and bowl in the one day.
Only half the time in the field.

Might spend half the time in direct sunlight but still won't have access to the same facilities as the club's main ground in most cases. If the SACA decide to allow play then why bother with a Heat policy at all if they say its only a 50 over game they will be fine as opposed to 80 overs

Without trying to sound whimpy.. But if a guy carries his bat and then fields. That's 100 overs in 42 degrees - worse than a normal 80 day.

And having to sit under a tree for afternoon tea with out air conditioning or showers....

Any way SACA statement pulling the plug on juniors, decision on the C & D grades after the 4pm forecast update....

Similar scenrio happened in our game on the weekend, we fielded then the openers had to bat for 6 overs. So they spent every minute of the days play out on the field! A touch a of cramp set in

Did I hear correctly that Kensi B-grade were 9/160 chasing 218 and got there with 10 and Jack?

Unbelievable days cricket from our lads on Sunday. To not only match the quality Kensi side but beat them convincingly was a credit to the lads who work tirelessly for TTGDCC.

TTG won the toss and batted, started well with Weaver and Tim Evans putting on 40odd for the first wicket against Opie and Worral. TTG lost 2 quick ones to see Trav Head and Tim Davey in they put on a steady 90 run partnership before Trav was caught at Fine leg. Again we lost 2 quick wickets and Matt Cuconits and Tim Davey steadied before we lost regular wickets and finished with a respectable 230.

Everyone thought we were in for a close one with Klinger, Smith, Ross and Brown a formidable top 4. But Klinger gone for a golden duck to Nick Winter, followed Smith by a direct hit run out by Tim Evans and Brown caught behind for 1 off Sommerfield, Kensi were 3/21. Ross and Clarance steadied the Kensi ship before Ross guided one to gully and from then on it was regular wickets. Obrien and Clarance providing some middle order fight but they never looked like threatening to win the game for them.

Three one day premierships in a row with the T20 to come and more importantly the 2 day competition.

Treble still on the cards for Gullies. From memory a few teams have won 2/3 in a season and one club won the one day and T20 but lost the other GF? Can't remember who though. Sturt maybe.

Still a very tight premiership race. Only 20 points separating the top 8 teams. Is it closer because of premier league? Perhaps those few weekends without all their guns has brought some of the standout teams back to the pack a bit. Jets and Kensi still with the bye to come, all other teams in the top 8 have had theirs.

Apparently there is another premier league game this weekend? I thought it had finished.

Nah last round this weekend, also clashing with an away shield match. Thought the idea was to prepare them for the shield games not hinder clubs even further

Would it be right that 60 players would be out of grade cricket this weekend due to shield and PL?
Sat/Sun game as well isn't it?

Absolutely hosing down again today.

Can't see any games going ahead unless grounds have got state of the art cover systems in place, and even then.

Good for the farmers and firefighters
