What's the protocol with wet weather prior to the match. Do ground staff advise SACA the ground is unplayable or do you have to wait until the morning. For example, you are saying Glandore is no chance.

Think SACA make phone calls at 4pm. Clubs to confirm if they have a wicket prepared or not. Haven't been able to get on the square since Wednesday at Glandore. Coupled with close to 80mm of rain and counting I seriously doubt any out field would be suitable this weekend anyway.

I think SACA will want to make a decision at 4pm, they have been on the phone since mid morning to clubs.

No chance at TTG this weekend

Not sure why they did not just call all games off, seems bit pointless letting two games go ahead.

Any news on Premier League and whether Park 25 ok? Or will they just play a one day game on Sunday?

Who cares about Premier League ;) 8)

havent heard if its on or off, but this washout works out perfectly for us considering we were going to be without 8 players from last weeks A grade - thats a tad hard to replace

West Torrens 8/193 off 50 in reply.

Tactical error by the Eagles today, Premier League washed out and didn't change their side. Adelaide slotted in their 2 players and both scored runs and bowled tight early on.

Heater, was not a tactical error by WT. Was a decision by Coach not to change team. There were two debutants, bit rough to kick them out of team!

We had four who could have played, Georgey and Cullen, plus two other bowlers. Would have made huge difference.

Caused plenty of discussion which was right thing to do, but as the Club is going thru rebuilding stage thought it was good opportunity to give four guys a go. If could make finals, would have been different story, but then you guys are third bottom and nothing to play for, but went the other way, and Lawford and Barnes were probably the difference in the end.

In hindsight the decision not to bring back the PL players was a distinct advantage to the team that did.

Anyway with this only game played on the weekend if Adelaide jag an outright in their last 2 day fixture and win the last round 1 dayer they could be sweating on results of other games in round 12 (they have the bye) and round 13 (play University) to pinch 4th spot

Now I'd imagine if this was to transpire there would be some rather irate opposition clubs looking at SACA for allowing just the 1 fixture to get away yesterday....

Must admit full credit to WT ground staff for getting the wicket going not a sign of the amount of rain we had for the past few days. Only downside it robbed you the chance to mow the outfield as if its anything thing like my front lawn its grown an inch since Friday

WT knew not bringing PL players back would make it tough, but looked at the bigger picture. With Adelaide now a slight chance to play finals, justifies pushing two guys out to fit Lawford and Barnes in.

Trent Kelly did great job, he also prepares Woodville Oval, and that was the other game to go ahead. Trent knew the weather was coming, so had the pitches prepared Wednesday, big covers on, was perfect day for cricket. Good lesson to other curators!

Outfield was slow, grass not mowed on Friday like normal. Thats why Lawford, Barnes, Cabot, etc went over the boundary line instead, was good to watch such clean hitting!

I've been trying to figure out why only 2 games were allowed to get away. Doesnt that give unfair advantage?
There may be a perfectly good explanation.....i just cant find it.
