Country Count

Post by devilsadvocate »

Can't recall it being asked already, sooooooo.

What's your contry count?

RULES - you must have cleared immigration, so can't count stopovers where you didn't leave the airport. However, you CAN count places like the Vatican, Hutt River Province etc.

Mine's currently 35.

Met a bloke on Friday who's count is 70. That's more than a third!

Can anyone beat that? Q?

16 I think. I've tended to see a lot of a country rather than see a lot of countries.

Itching to get away again.

2014 WC or 2016 Olympics?

I'm hoping to get to Brazil, Argentine, Uruguay, Chile and Peru for the 2014 WC.

I met a couple of brilliant blokes from Columbia when i lived in Canada. They had the life - would do 6 months in canada for the ski season, then go back and do bugger in Columbia for the rest of the year.

I never had the balls to ask them how they funded such a kick arse lifestyle

This. Haven't seen enough of Oz and would love to get in a 4WD and travel the whole coast.

Have been lucky enough to have seen plenty of Australia as a kid. Our parents took us everywhere and we missed heaps of school as kids.
Was in my mid to late 20's before my first trip overseas, have a 14 yo son who has been overseas more times than he has been interstate, definately need to show him some more of Oz

Yep, same. I'm going to park that adventure for when I'm a bit older and washed up and less capable of snowboarding for 5 days straight.

Pretty keen to do it Malcolm douglas style - decent boat behind a troopy and just rough it bush style.

I'm super keen to get to Borneo. My great uncle was killed at Sandakan after the war, so really want to make the sombre trek over and see the place.

Apparently it has some of the most diverse and beautiful rainforrest in the world too.

Where will you be visiting?

15 for me - including Wales and Scotland though, so 13 if you count the UK as 1 country.
