You could hand out Eagles promo show bags at half time!

TELECAST GAMES - BY TEAM
6 Adelaide (2 main channel)
6 South Adelaide (3)
5 Port Adelaide (2)
4 Glenelg (3)
4 Norwood (2)
3 North Adelaide (1)
2 Central District (2)
2 Eagles (2)
2 Sturt (0)
2 West Adelaide (1)

TELECAST GAMES - BY VENUE
2 Elizabeth Oval (2 main channel)
2 Woodville Oval (2)
2 Prospect Oval (1)
2 Norwood Oval (0)
2 Alberton Oval (2)
2 Noarlunga Oval (1)
2 Unley Oval (0)
2 Richmond Oval (1)
1 Glenelg Oval (0)
1 Clare Oval (0)
0 Adelaide Oval (0)

Someone tell them they need to get the teams near equal not the venues??

They use venues / home games because of ground signage and opportunity to showcase home club sponsors at half time.

ROUND 16

ROUND 17
Sunday, August 17
Port Adelaide v Norwood Alberton Oval 2:10pm 7mate 2:00pm

is that Round 17 confirmed as i have heard differently

Holy cow I only just saw what I wrote  - I apologise and I honestly have no idea why I wrote Port v Norwood was the TV game here (although as 1 v 2, there was a good case for a late change). Richmond was earmarked for the Round 17 TV game by Channel 7 right at the start of the year for venue equality. The list of TV games I posted last week by teams and venues is still accurate.

Now PhilH's responses aren't as confusing any more.

Not that's it's a secret, but the first two weeksof finals won't be on the main channel (not that it really matters either).

ELIMINATION FINAL
Saturday, August 30
T.B.D. v T.B.D. Adelaide Oval 4:40pm 7mate 4:30pm

QUALIFYING FINAL
Saturday, August 30
T.B.D. v T.B.D. Adelaide Oval 7:40pm 7mate 7:30pm

You might get your wish, Bounce of the ball, with whispers floating around that Jars might need to be used, come finals time...

Have heard that John Casey will be away for the first 3 weeks of the finals, calling basketball, so perhaps Ginevar will step up and call the play-by-play with Soders and then Jars will step into the Special Comments role...

Mmm, hearing a name being thrown up as a replacement for John Casey that is very interesting...

Interesting that guys with previous SANFL and TV calling experience have been totally overlooked...

"MMM" you may well be on the money there BP. Bloke has been selected has 10 plus years footy radio calling experience coupled with other calling experience. Will bring a high level of energy and enjoyment to a calling team which to be honest between Casey, Giniver and Soda has been a bit flat.

Not doubting the guys ability to call, or his experience, just wondering how much SANFL footy he has seen this year?

We'll know soon enough I guess, professional in what he does so I'm sure he will have done the work required. With his calling partner for the 1st round of finals being Jars I see it being a stark difference to what 7 have delivered this season thus far.

Just a heads up if you're missing the dulcet tones of John Casey he's in Spain for the basketball World Cup and will be calling the games with Shane Heal for the ABC starting this Saturday night on ABC2.

Oh how I've missed the Casey-isms calling basketball games!

"Non-preferred left hand"

"All nylon"

"He shoots from deep where he's a reliable conveyance"
"The factory of the future will have only two employees, a man and a dog. The man will be there to feed the dog. The dog will be there to keep the man from touching the equipment" – Warren Bennis
