Is there a mod tied up with the club I mentioned?

No, but when you make it a personal attack and start calling people knobs (or whatever it was) it will get removed - and it did

Had you been a bit more careful about how you worded it, fair chance it might have stayed. Have a bit of a think about that.

and instead of being a keyboard warrior and having a crack at everyone like it's your god given right to randomly abuse people on this forum, if you have an issue with your post being removed, how about contacting a mod or admin in future.

Thanks

Can you moderate the AFL thread as well coz there is a lot of that sort of sh!t let go there, beeroclock only labelled a club knobs, there are far worse personal attacks that don't get removed.

Unfortunately some mods & admins also are trolling/keyboard warrioring so forums users are only following their example.

No, he labeled a person a knob. THat's a personal attack and not allowed by the rules of this site, which Admin haven't put back up since changing the site for some reason.

YOu've got 2 chances of getting me in the AFL threads  , that's why we have report buttons. Use them.

Please dont' use this as a forum for complaining about others, if you can see mods or admin CLEARLY breaking rules (not simply whinging because you dont agree with whats written) then either report it to another mod or admin.

Must admit only read beer o'clocks post quickly and my impression was that he was calling the particular club knobs. No use dwelling on it, whats done is done, I do however always laugh about the terms of pinching kids from other clubs etc etc, it is not as though they have no choice, is very easy to say get lost we want to stay where we are. I am unaware of the circumstances he is referring to as i have very limited involvement in that club now but happy to have him outline his concerns in a PM that i can forward on to our board

Just wanting to know everyones thoughts on coaches accreditation for Modis football. The CFL rule at the moment is a modis coach doesn't have to have accreditation in their 1st year of coaching but in their 2nd year it is compulsory to do a level 1 course. Having done the level 1 course when I was coaching U9's it was a waste of time as it was more aimed at U14's & U16's & had very little to do with modified football at all.
The Hills football league offers an unofficial level 0 course which IMO is fine for modified coaches. If a coach then wants to go on with Junior football only then should it be compulsory IMO.

Know when i was coaching juniors a few years ago you had to at least register to do a level 1 course, attend the course but had time to get your book back

Believe it has changed alot since then. I agree with your point, i was coaching U7's when i did the course and they wanted me planning things as
structures, ball movements etc.

Not sure if it has changed or not. For the younger grades should be more of getting the kids to have fun, teaching them how to kick and mark.

Problem we have now is that everything changes from year to year so makes it difficult

FWIW my view is that anyone who has the desire to coach should at least get level 1 accreditation. It's more about the great people you meet and the friendships you build from there. Whether it's mods or upwards it is of little consequence, it's nice to have and a base to build on. All coaches should have some form of accreditation, I think anyway. ;)

I agree if someone has a desire to coach, but Dads doing it for the development of their kids, not to be serious coaches shouldn't have to go through a level 1 course.
Not sure that doing the course aids in meeting people & developing friendships, that happens more just from coaching.
Surely an U8 modis coach doesn't need to design training drills, teach the kids about team structures & switching the play etc. which is what the level 1 course I did was focused on. Then the booklet that you have to fill out & get a mentor to witness you coaching & write comments on. Its meant to be a fun age for kids & their dads.

There rules are modified in those grades, but not to the draconian extent advocated by the AFL.

Scores are still kept etc.
