This is ridiculous from Swann, IMO the best off spinner in the world for quite some time in a dominant team for a long period of time and you throw in the towel halfway through an Ashes Series?? Our boys have struggled in the test arena for the past few years and we've had retirements due to age but I can't recall any of our players to retire because it got too hard? Blokes like Haddin could of called it a day but he's come back bigger and better and been a huge part of us regaining the Ashes. Swann could of at least waited until the end of this series, he could of bounced back for his team in Melbourne and Sydney and at least win one of the coming tests but no, disappointing mate.

Mitchell Johnson comes to mind too TDK- especially when he was getting the world thrown at him in england a few years back.
