Eric 2014

Postby Groucho » Sat Mar 22, 2014 5:56 pm

I don't know who can organise this but I think Eric should make an appearance every week of the SANFL season this year, one week at the Crows game and the next week at the Magpies, especially when they are televised. I realise this is a lost cause but I believe the point should be made and hammered home that there are still people out there that still love the SANFL and that there is no place for AFL teams in our competition.

May they never give it a rest. Not until the occupiers have been driven from Our Comp. Long live the resistance.

Our board would have a heart attack if the sign came out at Prospect in Round 1.

Who'll join the rest of us as we greet the SANFL Commissioners as they head into their jolly at Adelaide Oval this week?

It's exactly the kind of back slapping love fest that deserves to be disrupted by some loud home truths.

Actually I think you are right ??? So yeah if it isn't working then clubs should say so. However , I think we all know that won't happen.

So I change my mind. Yep................Put the banner up.

I wonder if the clubs realise the position of power they now hold ???

The way I look at it is, sit in silence, buy memberships (or more) and watch a great comp get shafted, or keep letting your voice be heard. I wish I was down in Adelaide only to stir some shit. The hypocrisy of some people is the thing that annoys me most.

Change a couple of letters about a quarter of the way through that last sentence and you're on the money.

I think Eric Banner of SANFL fame who has starred in numerous film roles to name a few like

Eric
SANFL Adventure
Black Crow Down
Deliver Us From Evil

I think now is the time for him to have some national exposure.
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

Actually Yes, all South members were invited to a forum organised by the Board a week or too before the vote. All board members were in attendance, without stating their intended position...
The feeling from the members was that a resounding No vote should be adopted.
South Adelaide as the oldest SANFL club voted ,NO.
