They could miss the 8...

Port have Melbourne (H), Collingwood (A), Sydney (H), Suns (A), Carlton (H) and Freo (A).

They should beat Melb, Suns and Carlton. Pies 50/50 but Sydney and Freo will be hard.

They should've beaten Richmond also apparently.

If they can't beat Richmond I think the Suns would start favs at metricon

If Butcher is so useless he wouldn't be constantly double teamed every week in the SANFL

It's not about selecting Butcher the person and his ability but more what he represents - another large forward option. I tend to agree, they lack that extra tall, not having Westhoff up forward is hurting them.

Mind you I thought the back 6 were awful, burnt the ball a lot and Port failed to capitalise their chances especially the 3rd QTR.

Boak is a gun, the rest were quiet.

Is it just me or did there appear to be some bickering between Robbie Gray and Wingard?

Lol .. You'll be alright mate, good win against the Dees then a much needed rest, but missing the top 4 is almost a flag killer

When's he due back?

Come on, I've got to be consistent. :D

I think he comes back around the same time as Westhoff, Wingard & Polec. If those 3 had played today you might have beaten Richmond. Port just needed someone to go forward & kick a couple of goals in the last quarter, like Chaplin did. :D

Bombers demolished the Pies
Now have leapfrogged them.
Pies spot in the finals looking very shaky, probably only got another 2-3 wins in them

Ports season goes on the line next round.

Win they still have some control of where they end up.

Lose @ home to Melbourne @ this time of the year they are in serious trouble of missing the 8. Jesus that would put many Port supporters I know on suicide watch especially with their posts on FB up untill the showdown.

Port may be struggling a bit of late but to suggest they are in danger of missing the 8 is bit premature at the moment - and perhaps a bit wishful from Crows supporters.

They're still 2 games clear inside the 8. Their losses over the past month - although would've expected to win - haven't been massive losses. Sydney and Essendon amongst the two losses and both less than a goal, results could well have gone the other way.

I'm still shocked Crows supporters are talking about making the 8 and the fact some people think so highly of them given their inconsistencies!

South Australia is a shit state for football media and supporters - Crows & Port supporters do nothing but take pathetic predictable and repetitive swipes at each other, and the media is ridiculously quick to put the knives in as soon as a side has a poor game.

Mate you're a fool if you think your safe and currently very vulnerable.

You might be 2 games safe but this years draw suggests that you may have to win @ least 13 games to make the 8 . You have 2 games against bottom 8 sides with 11 wins. You have dropped 4 of your last 5 and drop 1 more to either Carlton or Melbourne then its a serious possibility on current form.

Hey I want Port to make the top 4 and be in contention. There is a part of me that hates them but I want to see them do well because of the state I come from.

With their % they may only have to win 1 more. Win 2 and they are safe. Could not see them dropping out of the 8. Still think they will win 4 of their remaining games and finish 5th/6th
