Panthers got close to the Eagles with 16 fit players for the last quarter earlier in the year.

Still decimated by injury,I expect them to win and win well.

Go Ye-ohs!

Given the extended squad I would like to see Ainger and Sumner dropped. The message has got to be made by Godden.

Great to see Rowntree back in the reserves. Also Culley is named after a year out of the game.

I hope we can win this one! Should be a good game! we have copped quite a few losses there over the years, so hopefully we can turn that around.
The midfield will be critical in this one. If Brooksby can give our midfielders first look at it we will be in with a good shot! Conversely if the Eagles get on top in the middle we may be in trouble.
Let's hope there is a good crowd at Woodville oval and us panther fans get down there in numbers to support the team!!

South are better placed than for quite a long time to pick up a rare win at Oval Ave.

It has never been a happy place for the Panthers since the Hybrids first spawned their convoluted and forevever compromised selves.

South to win on the scoreboard by 10 points. Hybrids to win the free kick count by 10. Hybrids to win the embarrassing supporter count by 110.

Important and satisfying win. Felt as though we had control of the game after 1/4 time, but were unable to put the hosts away. Both sides will rue some missed opportunities in their forward half. Some bewildering umpiring decisions, especially in the second half.

Crabb excellent in keeping the Fat Man goal less. Brooksby the best big man on the ground, while it was a pretty even spread of contributions after that.

A great win for the club against "The combine".. I thought we showed some real grit getting over the line today against some good opposition and some of the most lame, inept, incompetent and deplorable umpiring Ive seen in 50 years watching the sanfl.

We were in control at halftime but the weagles managed to claw themselves back into the game particularly in the last quarter but our resolve and desire got us over the line in the end. All played well but, I thought Crabb, Fields and Thewlis were fantastic in the back half along with Rose, Liddle , Veide.and Cross.

Thanks very much to WWT for keeping Ainger in for one last try... probably in the faint hope that he would show some backbone against the club he betrayed... despite the fact he managed 1 goal..he was a great asset for us, kicking the ball directly to former team mates regularly.

Wundke, a former Ken Farmer medalist was soundly thrashed by perennial Panther favourite Brad Crabb, who has stayed with the club through some of its darkest times, (on a modest salary Id assume..) and is now enjoying some modicom of success. Boyd of course was his usual busy self, racking up meaningless possession after meaningless possession, few of them earnt . I do note that his direct opponent for most of the day , Darth Veide, managed to get forward a few times and kick a couple of goals, which in the context of the game was important.

bring on the Bloods , Go Panthers!

Was weird listening on the radio, a loud cheer meant it was good for South. Was that just crowd positioning?

Very vocal South crowd seemed to congregate near the southern grandstand .

Very vocal in cheering the boys on and expressing their disapproval of the fascinating umpiring display we witnessed !
